🍾 Congrats are in order for a few members of the #VTDITC community. First off, our program’s co-founder @freddysfocus ( @vt_cee ) was very recently promoted to Associate Professor with tenure. Longtime leadership board member and regular collaborator Dr. Tyechia Thompson ( @vt.english ) was also promoted to Associate Professor with tenure. Finally, @rhetoricalroundhouse ( @vt.english ) - also a leadership board member and frequent collaborator - was promoted to Advanced Instructor. Our community is more vibrant thanks to Doctors Paige, Thompson, and Bennington and these promotions are incredibly well deserved! Salute! 🍾

Everyday I’m reminded that I have the best Family ever. And everyone here in these little pics is MY family. I do everything that I can to make you all happy as well as my family far and away. I would be able to do none of any of what I have without each and every one of you. You all give me my purpose in this crazy thing I call my life and I can’t wait to use the love you all continue to give me and serve others with that same love. To Mumsies and Sprangy I love you all more than any text could ever do justice and I hope every day you can wake up and be proud of your son. To Gi Gi my ride or die, I do it all for you and I can’t wait to watch you continue to grow and become so successful. To Sosa, my brother, I love you a million and can’t wait to watch you walk that stage next year. To Aunty Kay, Uncle Freddie, Uncle Nema, Hannah, Aunty Nikki and everyone, I love you all so so much and wouldn’t be able to do any of this without you. To my friends who I can comfortably call my family, I love you all and thanks for making this life still worth living. And finally to the ones who watch over me from above Grandma Ellery, Grandpa Nox, Grandpa Vince, know that I felt your guiding hands over my shoulder through it all and I hope you all can be proud of the grandson I’ve become! So once again, to my family, I love you more than life itself🫶🏽
