The canvas waits.
The cocktails stir.
The city hums with art in the air.

Join us for the very first Cocktails & Canvas, as we honor the luminous LaVonna Varnado Brown — a master of collage, memory, and expression.

FREE to attend, we’ll gather at JamLeans in Gert Town for an afternoon of conversation, community, and creativity.

Art to open your heart.
Stories to stir your spirit.
Light sips to sweeten the moment.

Come vibe with us. ✨

Actually not a hot pepper. Probably classified as a chile pepper though, “season pepper” as my Caribbean Sister @erines_wreaths calls it has a mild spice for the most part. Like “pardon” and “shishito” this pepper will produce a medium spicy pepper 1 out of every 10 times. In the heat of the summer the number of spicy peppers goes up a little more. Fruity and fragrant these beautiful little pepper add depth to the flavor of whatever it’s prepared with. Season peppers make a great snack raw or sautéed with olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper. But honestly I love to Swap them for the bell peppers in my trinity.

Here are a few glimpses into The Art of Birthing 2023! We laughed, we loved, we learned and we lived! The beauty of our community gathering to become more aware of the various experiences of birth was priceless! We explored the many perspectives of fathers, mothers, midwives and even doctors as we discussed The Art of Birthing!

A huge thank you to any and everyone that supported, spoke on panels, hosted, donated, showed up, showed love, sponsored or shared our events with a friend! Every notion makes a difference!

There’s still time support our fundraiser to continue this work across the state of Louisiana! Click the link in our bio to place a bid on art or buy a Virtually Vibin’ box! #TheArtofBirthing2023 #AnotherSistaMidwifeProdcution #NewOrleans #ArtAsAdvocacy #ArtAuction #BlackMaternalHealth
