Alex Stevens is Frequency Diagnostics, a sound designer and qualified sound therapist based in London.

Taking inspiration from traditional sound therapy techniques, Alex’s examination and analysis of frequency data and neural entrainment has made his practice genuinely unique. His sound therapy sessions and soundbaths blend beautiful acoustic instrumentation with well-researched electronica to produce deep healing states.

Accompanying this, Alex is developing a groundbreaking mobile app which allows a listener to indulge in a soundbath of their own making. Drawing on Alex’s extensive audio exploration, the app is designed to deliver you to any desired emotional state. Frequency Diagnostics joins bifmode, another sound artist who shares a love of audio, technology and deep meditative states. Together they have created a transformative soundbath experience like no other.

Drawing on Joseph Campbells “Hero’s Journey”, carefully constructed frequencies and timbres pull the listener through the threshold of consciousness and into different states of awareness, stimulating challenge, revelation and finally transformation. Rhythm, pulse and colour create points of tension and release, guiding the listener to develop their own narrative on a journey through their own personal movie.

Travel to you own virtual world and return fulfilled and remade.

Evolved from a time when a group of friends gathered to explore inspirations and musings of what we may be.

From the beginning our founding tenets have been creative experimentation and curious sharing of myths, philosophies, and ancient practices that enabled us to forge a deeper connection with our roots , Selves, the channels we utilise, thereby deepening our connection to the outer world and one another.

Where the traditional is engaged with from inquiry rather than gospel and where space and support is granted for the emergent.

From the modern scientific practices to sacred arts and technologies, collectively we offer a range of experiences that induce a journey into liminal spaces and expanded states of consciousness.

It’s hard to say, exactly when Yoga in the stars was born as it evolved over several cycles… a call and response spiralling itself into being…into an anchor… an “orchestra of the imagination”, as I like to call it.

A community.

Through friendship, mending hearts, insatiably inquiring souls, kindred spirits, trust in the creative process, and an astounding level of belief, collectively we really are co-curating a new normal.

It’s truly humbling, the openness, sincerity and trust everyone unites here with. There are many rivers that lead to the ocean… “a thousand ways to kneel and kiss the ground”… and the mere fact that we exist, as Yoga in the Stars is a testament to that.

I’m in awe of what has become of us, especially in the lead in to gather together for the first weekend of July on the New Moon in Cancer, a time to welcome ourselves home to ourSelves, on a grand scale to absorb and contribute to the roots of the stunning rugged and picturesque landscapes in Cornwall at @paradhisfestival

To add to the diverse range of offerings, I’ll personally be sharing my favourite modalities into restful awareness intensifying shifts through ritual, yoga Nidra and breathing practices, together with my dear friends and colleagues.

A humbled & elated thank you to the Paradhis team for this opportunity and a special thank you to Tarin, who has relentlessly steered this ship into the cosmos, the way only he knows how to do.
