Foraging at home! We found a small patch of #chantarelle in our back yard. Gotta smack the top before harvesting to spread those spores!! #spreadsporesandprosper #mushroomlove #foraging #mushroomsandcats

My favourite things: @freshchefmike, Mexican food, sunshine ☀️, my husband’s perfect curls (his secret is he does absolutely nothing to his hair 😭), Cheetara (aka Killer Mikayla, who spends most of her time in the backyard and demands to be held during her visits indoors), and Fenris Ulf (mini panther 🐈‍⬛). Everything going on in the world feels heavy. Joy is an act of resistance ✊ #weekendvibes #celebratinglife #catsarehappiness #adoptdontshop #joyisanactofresistance

believe us, they say,
it is a serious thing

just to be alive
on this fresh morning
in the broken world.
I beg of you,

do not walk by
without pausing
to attend to this
rather ridiculous performance. #maryoliver

Thanksgiving 2025 @freshchefmike and I were sick. But Michael spent 8 hours cooking to make sure I had a nice holiday 🥹 It was my favourite Thanksgiving yet. We hibernated for 4 days, not leaving the house, not buying anything, just taking care of each other, watching Bob’s Burgers and snuggling with our cats, who got their own Cornish hens for Thanksgiving! (But of course, they wanted our duck and turkey instead.) The neighborhood cats had a feast as well. I am pleased to have captured Michael’s spatchcocking on camera (he’s always so shy 🤣) and he went so hard in the paint that he lost his glasses. It was a great day 🥰

It’s been a rough couple of days. Michael dropped hot liquid from the Instant Pot on his feet. The staff at Doctor’s Hospital are absolutely wonderful. We are very grateful for them! Because Heather is NOT a good caregiver 😬 😆 But to be fair @freshchefmike is NOT an easy patient 😂
