The summer that changed everything.
A music residency with @lovejamcollective at @domnuvalley lit up my world in ways I couldn’t predict, a conscious space for creativity and play. The collaborative processes with these magic humans, constant flow of music and the break through of my musical walls I’d be stuck in for so long, was magical. This experience has led me kindly to my next chapter..moving to Devon for some time. I’ll be down there with an incredible group of artists & musicians, continuing the flow, and seeing what living amongst the wilderness does to this wild city child ✨ I’ll be organising a leaving do/open studio sale some time in September, details to follow… 🌙

The PlaySpacers Games 🏹🔥

A few days of stepping out of the normal world and remembering how damn good it feels to simply play.

Grown-ups running through fields, building armour out of cardboard, creating ridiculous weapons, getting covered in paint, competing, laughing, shouting and completely committing to the madness.

What I loved most was seeing how quickly the serious adult version of ourselves disappeared. No need to look cool, no need to perform — just a bunch of humans giving themselves permission to be silly again.

I came here as the chef, feeding this beautiful bunch throughout the Games, but somewhere between the cooking, the chaos and the battles, I became part of the playground too.
And of course I couldn't resist bringing my camera along. 📸

These are some of the moments that caught my eye — not necessarily the perfect ones, but the ones that captured the energy of what it felt like to be there.

More play. Less taking ourselves so seriously.

It started so innocuously...

Just a few friends bumping into each other at midnight. Trying to figure out what to do. Where to go. Gently playing the guitar and chatting. Then harmonising to the guitar. Then the rhythm picks up and the cajon comes out. Then someone asks to join in with another guitar. Then a pianist friend bumps into the group and the keyboard makes an appearance.

Then before you know it, we're having a massive singing party in front of the food stalls until 3am 🤯😂

SUCH a joy. One of the absolute highlights of @medicinefestival for sure 👌

And for all those trying to go to bed but just couldn't resist a good old sing song - we are truly sorry 😂 We were in the same boat, but when the vibes comes knocking...

Just goes to show how some of the best things happen when we allow them to just unfold spontaneously and stop trying to find them. When we decide to stay in one place rather than seek the party elsewhere.

Big love to @alfiejmusic, @joe.therapies, Karl and @yushsonic for your absolute VIBES and musical wizardry, along with the legends from @amruthaonroad for feeding us with Chai & love. And MASSIVE love to everyone who stopped by to blast out some bangers with us 😊🫶

👋🏼I'm Emily Doe, the Dandelion Bard 🌼

Back in the spring of 2024 I woke from a dream and heard the call of the dandelions. They had a message for me and told me in no uncertain terms that I was to write a book and tell the world. I have now become an author, artist and bard and I share my songs in ceremony on sacred land and in circle.

I'm dedicated to creating gentle spaces for others to build confidence in their own voice and share their own creativity through story, poetry and song. I host a women's singing circle in Warmley, Bristol as well as bardic sharing events and retreats.

Now a member of the Order of Bards and Priestess in training, I'm sharing the journey to 'becoming the bard' and am inviting other bards and weavers to share creations with me on my podcast and at other collaborations.

PLAY IS HEALING. 💞

After 20 years working with mental health, mostly in public services as a child therapist…

Our recent journey in Senegal was a huge success.

Thanks to our amazing contacts and connections in senegal including Mokollo djembe fulla

We were able to curate an amazing in depth Djembe course for the one and only @frey_the_bard

From almost 0 to 100 he has now grpwn to the point of playing live gigs with the Djembe.

That's the true power of cultural immersion, determination and willingness to learn.

We hope to offer even more with our next journey to Senegal, we are connected to so many great educators.

Not only in Djembe but also dancers, singers, guitarists and Kora players.

We hope you'll join us next February to Senegal so we can make it extra special.

Manaprana brings his unique style after decades of turntable experience and a more recent pathway (still several years) of yoga, meditation and classical tantra. Expect a session with soul, and heart.. This is going to be fun! ❤️

Lubo of @cacaosol.uk has lashings of delicious ceremonial cacao for us to boost our dance, and enrich our practice too! From 9:15am ✨

Warmup to music from 10am, drop in, let go and deepen your dance. Please be ready to begin with us in the hall by 10:30am 🙏

A poem by Frey The Bard 🌼

Mother - it speaks to the cyclical nature of growth. The falling, the rising, the learning again and again, like we do when we’re toddlers experiencing the world around us. And also to the personal self-development work of noticing the parts of us that keep us small - the patterns, the fears, the old conditioning - and then with awareness and internal strength, gently choosing something different. And one of my favourite parts - the wisdom that comes when we check in with our heart ❤️

Frey is 23. A poet, a musician, a storyteller. Someone who walked away from the nine-to-five and chose something far less certain…but far more alive! In the recent podcast Becoming The Bard he spoke about travelling across America, about being open to all that life has to offer him, and about what it means to follow your heart and your own creativity when it starts pulling at you.
