Cacao Makes Community.

Creating spaces where we can feel safe and sit together, is something we need now more than ever.

At the heart of the Mesoamerica indigenous traditions, cacao is shared to gather in community. People come together at the end of the day to share a warm or cold cup of chocolate, talk about their experiences, and reconnect with one another.

Cacao circles offer us a space to slow down, share, listen, and remember that we are part of a greater living ecosystem.

Diego @fridocacao and I met through Abuelo Efren, the elder and teacher from the Maya Yokot’an cacao lineage, we both follow his tradition to learn how they communicate and heal trough Cacao.

Today, we share with love what we have learned along this path: the importance of walking with memory, myths, stories, and ancestry, while honouring the teachings passed down to us.

I am so grateful our paths crossed, Diego. There is something beautiful about meeting someone who shares a similar intention and with whom you can continue learning, growing, and sharing.

People, if you feel called to experience one of our cacao gatherings, please get in touch. We would love to welcome you.

Public speaking has always been one of my passions.

I love sharing something that moves me and seeing how an idea sparks curiosity, a question, or a conversation.

Astrology, cacao, art, nature, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and Mexican culture; from its origins to its living traditions, are all part of my life and work.

Whenever I speak, I hope to share a message that invites us to reflect, ask different questions, and become more aware of the social and cultural shifts we are part of.

I love it when someone approaches me after a talk to share their own story. When a question opens up a perspective I hadn’t considered. When speaking to an audience becomes a conversation.

For me, that is the magic of public speaking: the people we connect with and what we discover together.

We are happy to invite you to a special afternoon of Cacao · Art · Identity in Groningen, bringing together Pamayan and FRIDO Mexican Cacao.

This time, we will be joined by Diego Lugo, founder of FRIDO Mexican Cacao, who is coming from the UK to share his beautiful journey with cacao.

Together, we will gather in circle to honor the biocultural roots of cacao, weave a prayer with Pamayan, and share sacred Cacao. Through medicine songs, stories and creativity, we will let cacao accompany us into a space of connection and creative expression.

Inspired by Frida Kahlo’s self-portraits and symbolism, we will explore how images can tell stories about who we are, and then create our own symbolic self-portrait through collage, bringing together images, colors, memories and personal symbols.

A space where cacao, art and community come together, to connect with ourselves, with one another, and with the stories that shape us. ❤️

Saturday, October 3 · 14:00–18:30
Espacio Sagrado · Groningen

This was our cacao ceremony. 🤎🔥

A moment created with love and intention, where we allowed ourselves to face our fears, release what no longer belonged to us, and make space for what our souls are ready to receive.

Surrounded by fire, cacao, connection and gratitude, we surrendered to the experience trusting that every moment of this spiritual retreat was guided by God and led by the soul.

We came to feel, to release, to reconnect… and to leave a little lighter than we arrived.

SOLÈ — Cacao, Fire & Release.❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Autumn Equinox Cacao Circle

The Yoga Garden and myself, we invite you to experience a sacred encounter with the heart through the ancestral beverage of cacao — a tradition from the precious lands safeguarded by the Indigenous peoples of Mesoamerica.

We will have an special guest Diego from @fridocacao He is an astrologer, an artist and also offers his cacao circle gatherings in Notting Hill, London

The intention of this circle is to remember our living wisdom and transform our paths.

This gathering is for you if you seek:
• Healing and releasing emotional burdens
• Connecting with yourself and listening to your heart
• Embracing your essence through conscious, meditative movement
• Giving yourself a moment of pause and presence
• Planting new intentions
• Sharing in community with love

In this gathering, we will share:
• A cacao ritual
• Teachings from the ancestral Maya Yokot’an tradition
• Council circle sharing

It will be an intimate, loving, and profoundly sacred space, guided by Marcela — a bearer of an ancestral, living cacao tradition shared with respect, prayer, and love. She has been instructed to offer the sacred cacao medicine by Ax’ Mein Efren Hernandez Maldonado, 11th-generation cacao guardian of the Maya Yokot’an tradition of Mexico.

This is a new monthly offering—there’s no need to attend every circle, but you may find yourself wanting to make it a regular ritual. Here are some of the following dates:

Next circles on Sundays
- 20th September
- 18th October
- 15th November
