A huge Pat on the back to @fro.sanaa , the Loeries’ first-ever Young Directors Award winner! 🏆🎬

From Soweto to making history on the Loeries stage, Sanaa is showing the power of telling stories rooted in our culture, our communities and our everyday experiences.

His work includes Volkswagen’s “Forever Golf”, which celebrates South Africa’s distinctive Golf culture, alongside projects for brands such as Momentum, Savanna and iStore. His storytelling brings a proudly local perspective to the way brands connect with people.

Here’s to fresh voices behind the camera and more African stories taking centre stage. Congratulations, Sanaa! 👏🏾

MusicSpacesUpdates🗞 | @spotifyafrica

Some songs live far beyond the moment they were first heard. They travel through time, carrying memories, emotions and stories from one generation to the next. With every new listener, every different moment and every personal experience, the music finds a new meaning.

Aw’Phelelwa is a film — that remind us where we come from and continue to shape where we are going. Izingoma ezikukhumbuza ukuthi uphumaphi are filled with memories, culture and the sounds that remain close to our hearts.

Music connects generations, bringing old memories back while creating new ones. A song may mean one thing to the person who first heard it years ago and something completely different to someone discovering it today — but its power remains.
