Three days of recording at @cupolastudios completed! Coming to your earholes soon: Porn To Cry To, a sexy little song about snails and being super sensitive, and Oh My Dog, a song about our canine Lord and Saviour. Serious business 🐌

MEET OUR NEXT ARTISTS - LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AWAY 🧡

We're so excited to announce that Frolic Acid, Honeylight, SHINDIG & Hayley McKay will be joining us at Origin Festival on Saturday 12th September.

Frolic Acid @frolic.acid:
"With heavy riffs, angular grooves, explorative solos and surreal lyrics, Frolic Acid is a new collaborative project comprising of Katy Trigger (Backyard Rhythm Orchestra, MSK) on bass and vocals, Evan Abel (Baghdaddies) on saxes and melodica, and Nik Alevroyiannis (Baghdaddies) on kit and percussion. Taking inspiration from the worlds of prog, jazz and Latin (among many others), their sound is infused with distortion and a touch of raw aggression, for a dynamic and eclectic sonic experience."

Honeylight @honeylightband:
"Honeylight is the indie pop project of North-East based singer/songwriter Caitlin Morrow. You may know her from hosting our open mic or greeting you at the door to our events here at the barn. Blending college rock and sugary power pop with a tongue in cheek yet heart-wrenching lyrical style, discover Honeylight’s raw and emotional storytelling and infectious melodies on Saturday 12th September. Make sure not to miss their set of songs due to be released later this year, and bring your dancing shoes!
Caitlin will also be serenading you on the Sunday morning with an acoustic set, so you definitely want to get yourselves a camping ticket. Jus' sayin'."

SHINDIG @shindig__band:
“Hailing from the North Yorkshire Coast, SHINDIG bring high-octane instrumentals and piercing vocals. Carnage guaranteed.”

Hayley McKay @hayleymckaymusic:
“Hayley McKay is a rising force in British country music, known for her soaring vocals, heartfelt storytelling and deep-rooted connection to the North East. With powerful vocals, undeniable presence and a growing list of international accolades, Hayley McKay is firmly on the rise.”

Expect a full day (and weekend if you're camping!) of live music, artisan food, local drinks, market stalls, workshops, a hidden disco, fire performances, DJs into the night and plenty more to discover.

Tickets start from just £30 🧡

FINAL LINE UP & LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AWAY!!

After five incredible years, the Pealie’s team is stepping away from running the Barn. And that makes this year’s Origin Festival, 12th & 13th September, a particularly special one.

It will be the final event organised by the Pealie’s team, so we’re determined to make it one to remember. We’re expecting this one to sell out, so if you’ve been thinking about coming, don’t leave it too late.

Set at Cockleberry Farm, East Cowton, North Yorkshire, Origin is a weekend of music, creativity, connection and one last big celebration of everything we’ve built together.

The lineup features Toucan, Flat Moon, Bau Cat, Eve Buckley, SHINDIG, Frolic Acid, Romy Taylor, Honeylight, Hayley McKay and more, alongside artisan food, local drinks, camping, market stalls, hidden disco, fire poi, floral and foraging experiences, projections, collaborative painting, axe throwing and funk & soul DJs into the night.

Sunday is all about slowing things down, with breakfast, yoga, sound baths and live music from Caitlin Morrow and more.

And of course, this weekend is about more than just the incredible lineup.

To everyone who has visited Pealie’s, supported us, performed, organised, worked, volunteered, helped out, danced, laughed, cried or simply spent time here over the last five years - thank you.
