Ignore the half painted window trim and cardboard bench top - currently attempting to renovate my kitchen as a first time diy-er

Speaking of first times, enjoy my very nervous sounding, first voice over for my @leila.makes Lil’ Bucky Bag.

I first came across this free pattern watching @fromcarlyb YT channel and knew I needed to make it for my X stitch wips. It’s a great little afternoon sewing project and I’ll def make it again

As I am completely useless when it comes to tech this is an unedited take, although I may or may not have recorded the voice over more times than I’d like to admit ##lilbuckybag #memade #crossstitchlovers❤️

How do we even put into words the event that was?! 🥹❤️

We had THE BEST time at the Dangerous Females Fundraising Runway over the weekend.

Huge props to Jes, Kat and Lauren, not only for the incredibly important work they do raising awareness and taking a stand against violence against women, but for bringing together a room full of fabulous women. Also to MC @paehoddy , who had us laughing all morning 😂❤️

For those of you who don’t know, we were so lucky to be asked to create a one-off JRC dress especially for the event, which our beautiful friend @haus_of_jools absolutely ROCKED on the runway ❤️

And now she can be yours!

The dress is currently up for auction, with 100% of the funds raised going directly to Dangerous Females and the incredibly important work they do. You’ll find the auction link in our bio.

We feel so lucky to have been a tiny part of such a special event and to be surrounded by so many wonderful women doing good things in the world.

Thank you for having us, DF. We’ll be riding this high for a while 🥹❤️

Now go bid on the dress!!! 😂❤️

I made the first two dresses 2 weeks ago and the second two dresses 2 years ago. I used the Jo March Dress Pattern on YouTube by @fromcarlyb modified to be shorter :). When I tell you these are by far the most-worn item in my closet… I wear one of them like at least once a week, all year round. I wear them over turtlenecks and my poofy sweatpants, and with cut-off shrugs sweaters. There’s so many ways I style them, especially the white one. Making clothes has genuinely changed the way I think about clothing, and the price of clothes, and fast fashion. Remember y’all, there is no such thing as a fully machine made garment. Any piece of clothing you hold was constructed by hands. And if it’s cheap, it’s because someone didn’t get paid.
~
Also, the first dress is made from a table cloth, and the rest are made from bed sheets, and they all have pockets :)
