If you’re consumer brand obsessed and love angel investing in CPG, I want you at Angel Fest NYC on October 14th at @boweryhotel We’re hosting the investor day we always wanted to go to: a buzzy party for people who write checks into consumer brands, and for the ones who want to start. Our thesis is simple. Consumer cap tables should look more like the people who shop. So we’re filling a 150-person room with active angels, the angel-curious, family offices, consumer funds, operators and founders. The lineup is stacked:
Cassandra Gray, Founder of Violet Grey and angel investor
Laney Crowell, Founder of Saie Beauty and angel investor
Dan Frommer, Founder of The New Consumer
Noah Sanborn Friedman, Founder and investor at OuterSignal
Andrea Hippeau, Partner at Lerer Hippeau
Hannah Wilson, content creator and angel-curious investor
Alexis Contos, Founder of The Breadwinners
Nicole Angel, Angel Ventures (Poppi, 4am, Saie Beauty) Between sessions, wander the HALO Bodega, stocked with emerging brands you can taste, touch and take home (maybe even back). Recharge and biohack in the Wellness Lounge. @goopkitchen is doing lunch, our favorite CPG darlings have snacks covered all day, and happy hour brings martinis and non-alc options alike, because angel investing should be fun. Never written a check? The workshops walk you through your first one. Written fifty? Come for the deal flow and discovery. October 14 · The Bowery Hotel · NYC
Tickets at the link in bio. We expect to sell out, so grab yours soon. Tag one person who needs to be in that room. #AngelFestNYC AngelInv

“Cigarettes are back!” the @nypost and others have declared. This has been coming up more in conversation: After all that wellness posturing, are young people really smoking?! On a mass scale, no: Smoking in the US remains at an all-time low, according to Gallup, and pack sales are down. But, yes, among a certain, small set of culturally visible bicoastal elites, cigarettes are showing up — ironically or not — in more public situations. Certainly enough that you notice it. In 2026, fashion retail is being defined by a growing divide between the haves and have-nots. At @NRF’s Big Show, Dan Frommer of highlighted how @TikTokShop is reshaping demand, while Michael Gunther warned that spending patterns are becoming increasingly bifurcated. Data shows premium brands like @OneQuince, @Alo, @MiuMiu, and @Longchamp are winning with targeted consumers, while others including @Saks, @NeimanMarcus, @Nike, and @Lululemon face greater headwinds. 🔗 Read the full article via the link in bio to see what the data reveals about demand, risk, and opportunity in 2026.
