We are losing @secarmy now. In the span of less than a week the Army has lost CD and Sec Driscoll. The force has no CSA, now no service Sec, and a dumbass as vice ruining everything. @usawtfm we are cooked right now. In losing the Sec, the force is losing someone who pushed innovation and common sense reforms forward. He was also refreshing blunt and honest. There’s Sec War preaches merit but force retired our best warfighter, pushed out our best service Sec, promotes literal twitter morons to positions of power, has an alleged wife beater who lost custody of his kids as his spokesman, appoints the most useless GO we have as vice, fires Randy George and H4 for zero reason, and gaslights anyone who calls out the BS. The DOD has been set back years now.

Leadership isn’t about having all the answers right away—it’s about having the courage to make the call when the pressure is on. ⚡
When the stakes are high, hesitation is the enemy of progress. Step up, weigh the options, and take decisive action because waiting for the “perfect” moment usually means missing it entirely.

Alignment, assignment, execution, and finish—the ultimate blueprint for turning vision into reality.
it’s about getting everyone on the same page (alignment), putting the right people in the right roles (assignment), taking consistent action (execution), and crossing the finish line together (finish).

#83 Conviction Is the Multiplier. From SERE instructor to B-1 Weapon System Officer to the dad who leads by example. — How belief and attitude closes the gap between what you know and what you actually do. A conversation w/ Manny Lamson @mannymustache

Manny Lamson has been tested in some of the highest-stakes environments the military has to offer — as a SERE instructor, as a B-1 Weapons Systems Officer, and now as OIC of RAD rucking and an alum of Soldiers to Sidelines. In this conversation, Matt and Manny dig into what actually separates people who perform under pressure from those who fold: not more skill, but more conviction. We cover the jump from survival instruction to combat aviation, what it takes to instill belief in people you’re leading through something brutal, the wake-up call that shifted Manny from “a dad who was” to a dad who leads by example, and his no-excuses take on health — pushing back hard on blaming biology instead of fixing sleep, diet, alcohol, and screen time. This one’s a masterclass in closing the gap between what you know you should do and actually doing it.

Behind every impeccable performance is a leader who acted with pure intention. 🎯
It’s not about micro-managing; it’s about macro-vision. Lead with purpose, and the results will speak for themselves.

The best leaders know that “yes” loses its value if you never say “no.”
When you don’t set clear boundaries, you’re teaching your team that overwork is the standard.

Define your availability: Let people know when you are—and aren’t—on the clock.
Delegate with trust: Empower your team to own their responsibilities. Block out time on your calendar for strategic thinking.
