[𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗛, incl. quotes] below

[𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗛]

Since its beginnings, foodculture days has always been committed to questioning the established order and to placing applied social ecology at the core of its project. The 2025 Biennale, in turn, pays particular attention to the words that express our relationship with the living.

The word curator derives etymologically from the Latin term cura — care, attention. This root connects the curator to an ethics of care, the same found in curiosity (the desire to care for knowledge) or cure (healing).
Historically, this person was the one who cared for artworks, artists, and exhibition contexts. Today, this role is undergoing a transformation, particularly within socially engaged practices: it is no longer only about preserving or presenting, but about connecting, listening, activating in order to make oneself — and others — more sensitive, and about cultivating multiple forms of relation.

Curating thus becomes an aesthetic, ethical, and ecological gesture all at once.

„So we cook, we eat. And we free ourselves.“

💗🌺🪅 It’s Bandcamp Friday today which is why we thought we’d highlight the amazing releases we’ve had the pleasure to release this year! From the industrial darkness of Enxin/Onyx, dub techno magic from Surface Access, beautiful field recordings an ambient textures by Carla Boregas & Anelena Toku/Fronte Violeta, to Sary Moussa’s powerful electro-acoustic soundscapes as well as the collective project Earth Sounds Now’s wonderful mix of free jazz, field recordings, modern classical and poetry 🪅🌺💗

We’ve also found some old gems from the vaults while doing some much needed summer cleaning - titles we thought had sold out a long time ago - like Teenage Jesus & Jerks 1977-79 live album on CD and vinyl, Terepa vinyl (Rashad Becker, Charlotte Collin, Lucrecia Dalt, Laurel Halo, Julia Holter, Kohei Matsunaga, and Grégoire Simon), Tomaga & Pierre Bastien’s album Bandiera di Carta on vinyl, some Telas cassettes, Patrick Higgins ’Dossier’ vinyl, Jaar’s Network book, both volumes of ’Would It Sound Just As Bad If You Played It Backwards” on vinyl, a collection of sounds from Studio Eksperymentalne Polskiego Radia, to name a few. In case you missed out on these the first time around here’s your chance to grab yourself a copy, only have a handful of these left 🔥🔥🔥
