Audrey @audrey_yoga_ from @frontyogaloft will be instructing our 1:15PM class at Ogden Yoga Fest!🤍

Join a structured 75 minute practice through the Half Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga where you will be guided halfway through the traditional full Primary Series, known as Yoga Chikitsa, or “yoga therapy.” We’ll move through Sun Salutations, the standing sequence, seated postures, then transition into the closing sequence, and rest at the end.
At the heart of this practice is tristana, the union of breath, posture (asana), and gaze (drishti). Each movement is linked to an inhale or exhale and each posture is held with a specific point of focus. Together these three elements create the moving meditation that Ashtanga is known for.
This is a practice of internal awareness as much as physical strength. Modifications and options will be offered throughout, so come as you are.

my beautiful friend @emaleekait took these one week before I herniated my disc most recently.
glad to have them now as a reminder that we came back before and we’ll do it again :)
.
plus, now we’ll always have the memory of listening to @noahkahanmusic together and that you still, always know how to make me laugh 👀
I love you, Em.

Today (Sep 4) is the Hindu festival Krishna Janmashtami. This festival celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna, one of the most endeared incarnations of Vishnu. Krishna is regarded by many as the embodiment of Bhakti or spiritual yoga. Festivities include singing (bhajans), chanting, and dance-dramas depicting his childhood. Children may dress up as Krishna and Radha, and fill pots with sweets (prasada).

This celebration is a renewal of hope, love, kindness, devotion, and connection to the inner child. ✨

Emphasis on practicing presence and non-attachment these days.
Modifying the transitions depending on what my body needs each moment and not my own agenda or expectations.

It's Small Business Saturday. You know that we've got weekend deals on annual memberships and all the gear you need (peep our last post!), but you might not know that we're hyper-local, Utah born, and Utah owned.

The Front has been locally owned and operated since its inception in 1989 as The Body Shop, then as The Wasatch Front, then as The Front Climbing Club, and now as The Front. No shareholder boards, no national investors, and nothing more than passion-filled, grassroots growth. We couldn't do it without you!

No matter what you're here for — our Ashtanga yoga program, Jiu-Jitsu Collective, boutique fitness classes, Studio 1396 ceramics program, or climbing — we're ready to welcome you into the fold. Come by this Saturday and see what we're all about; we're open normal hours all weekend long! https://ow.ly/qXxY50Xrm9t
