🏁🔥 HOT WHEELS MONSTER TRUCKS! 🔥🏁

It's always lovely when a returning customer comes back to Kels Bakehouse for another special occasion! 🥹❤️

I originally made Declan's birthday cake when he turned 2, and this time I had the pleasure of creating this monster truck-inspired cake for his 6th birthday! 🛻💙

One of my favourite little details about this order? Declan himself came to hand-deliver the exact monster trucks he wanted on his cake! 🥹🛻 How special is that?! It made creating his birthday cake even more personal, knowing it featured the truck he'd chosen himself! ❤️

Featuring bold blue gnache, a black and white chequered finish, monster trucks and fiery racing details, this one was made to bring the WOW factor! 🏁🔥

And inside? A delicious chocolate cake finished with a smooth white chocolate ganache 🍫🤎

Megan, thank you so much for coming back to Kels Bakehouse and trusting me with another one of Declan's birthday cakes. It genuinely means so much to my little business when customers return for their special occasions! 🥰❤️

Happy 6th birthday, Declan! I hope you had the best day! 🎂🎉

my first time using the coffin-shaped Flexi Frost from @frostform , and here’s how it turned out!

my husband bought this for me a while back, and it’s been sitting in its package ever since. with halloween right around the corner, i figured it was finally time to give it a try.

i’m taking you through the whole process from cutting and stacking the cake to frosting and decorating it. really happy with how this one turned out, and i’d definitely use it again. ♥️

not sponsored, my husband purchased this for me to try.

🖤💀🤍💀💜 Gothic Wedding Cake

3 days of work, hours of prep and design all popped into a video under 1 min 🤣

Jack Skellington & Sally handmade figures from The Nightmare Before Christmas were the brides absolute must!

As well as using flowers from the brides bouquet I added handmade flowers to create depth and bring the colours all together!

Painted edible lace added that gothic touch on top of the purple ombré luster dust!

I wish the bride and groom all the best and I hope you both look at each other like Jack & Sally do!!!

I’m getting married on the 18th of November and I’m making my own wedding cake. I haven’t made one in seven years.

I built a business around cake and somehow stopped making them. Running Frost Form takes up so much of my time, I disappeared behind it a bit.

Ordering one would be way less stressful. There are so many amazing decorators who’d make something lovely. But then I’d never find out if I can still pull it off.

So. Recipes tested here in Portugal, then fly home to Ireland to bake, freeze, and decorate it the days before the wedding.

Episode one of Out of Practice. Follow along and see if I’ve still got it, I guess.

Would you ever make your own?
