"Commit your ways to the Lord and He will bring your plans to pass" Psalm 16:3
What does this passage mean? Here are a few thoughts of mine for the New Year! Cheers!

Christmas and Family! How too often those things go together and they should! Joseph and Mary were having a regular life when a huge interruption of God's grace found them. God had chosen to redeem all the families of the earth, to fulfill his promise to Abraham by first entering a family.

But this gift first flowed from the family that is God. The Father sends to us His Son, and in coming the eternal Logos is sealed into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Every Christmas we are called to enter and to enjoy the Love that is God. Have you?
Merry Christmas.

Oh God of new beginnings who sustains us through every adventure, bringing hope when shadows rise, comfort when anxiety fills and sweet joys when victory is complete, keep by your most merciful power these who begin new journeys.

Grant that they may forever remember that you are their aid, blessing all that is before as you did all that was past and everything in-between. Grant that they may begin, no less confident in your power, love and grace. Keep feeble hearts steady, and keep steady hearts steadier.

Bless the links that will be made, bless those that will go, may separation yield sweetness and may meeting again yield mercy. Bless the journey and miles they travel, keep them each junction, an Ebenezer altar of divine care.

From fear and error still their hearts. You who once travelled here, bless the journeys they undertake with maps of mercy, carriages of comfort, planes of peace, buses of blessings.

Help oh God that strangers will meet them for good and not ill. Grant that circumstances would be tender to them and if the paths get rough, then sustain their strengths and supply what is lacking. Keep them from the evil one, from regretful sorrow, and hopeless actions.

Oh God sustain the little ones, burn in their minds a sincere love for you. As they change and grow, keep them from molding into the world. Make them a rock of obedience and order and help that they would shine as lights in dark places, bringing Jesus where they go. Bless the hands that touch them, the eyes that see them and the hearts that love them.

And for all they look forward to, Gracious God bless. Bless with faithful hope and contagious joy.
