⋆｡°✩ SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT ⋆｡°✩
Mahjong Parlor is turning 1 in November!!! 🎂 💫

Come celebrate with us at our anniversary market: with vintage clothes, goods from local artists, food from @long__pang and @frumpygrain , and ofc MAHJONG!!!

The market is free with RSVP ~ come browse, eat, and hang out 💗 Want to play? Grab a ticket for an hourly mahjong slot! We’re doing time slots to keep the tiles moving and give everyone more time to play.

All levels are welcome, and we’ll group tables by experience. A little heads-up for first-timers: we’ll have teachers floating around to help, but this won’t be a full lesson like our usual events. Bring a friend who knows the game or watch a quick tutorial before you come. Can’t wait to see you at the table and celebrate together 🌟🪽

Some of my favorite moments from the last three summers feeding dancers in the woods 💗

It really does take a village to feed a village, and I feel so lucky to have spent these experiences alongside so many incredible chefs, friends, volunteers, artists, djs, producers, and very hardworking crews.

We didn’t get a ton of pics because we sold out so fast but here are a few foodie highlights from our pop-up this weekend!! TYSM @frumpygrain for being the best partner in collaboration!! To @thecatskillscocktailclub for inviting us to pop-up out of “retirement” to @thestarlitemotel for welcoming us back at your spot to @njckhum for menu design and @lisarondholz for printing them!! It was a truly all hands on deck affair.

AND THANK YOU TO ALL WHO CAME OUT TO EAT OUR FOOD! You guys made our comeback soooo good! Maybe see you again? xx

@anco.newyork feature on @voguemagazine as we spend a day in Huế 🥹

@_karenyuan captured so much of the emotion, history, and handicraft in her words.

this is for mom & dad - for the years of toil at your restaurant in Saigon and for all the women of Vietnam whose hands conjured these painstaking, traditional dishes. Grateful to shine the spotlight on centuries of effort 🙏✨

What I love about New York is how little friction there is to come together for something we all believe in. It’s the willingness to just jump in given how much we have going on in our respective lives; we carve out time for the things that truly matter to us. New York is all about making choices on the daily; the more you make them the more you’re forced to change.

Many hearts and souls poured their care into last night serving incredibly enriching food alongside chefs and friends I’m really proud to stand next to, folks offering invaluable planning, producing, knowledge and pooled resources, dancing to a stacked line of DJs, a mahjong tournament underway, and all profits towards the unwavering P@lestinians fighting for their liberation in G@za. Speaking about G@za is never easy, it can ostracize you from your friends, your livelihood can be impacted by it, but being in a room of 150+ people last night who all have a shared value for standing up for what’s right, is a truly humbling and nourishing experience that gives me the courage to continue onward.

Every daily choice I make to choose compassion over capitalism is to decolonize my own mind, it is an act to fight for the P@lestinians who lead the way and continue to light the flame of humanity that flickers incessantly, always, inside of my heart.

Every year I take less and less pix, am I in my living in the moment increasingly well adjusted era or will I regret this 20 years later?
