The Aletheia Duo gave a fantastic performance last night. They performed duets for harp and flute and solos on their respective instruments, along with captivating electronic music!

Nino Rota- Sarabanda E Toccata

My first ever studio recital! Nowhere near perfect but I’m satisfied with my musical interpretation, so what more can I ask for (other than the audience not to clap between movements) 🤗
So grateful to be a part of this amazing harp studio with Dr. Wan 💌

FSU harp studio recital ✅ ♥️💛

So proud of my students for their hard work this semester and the care, effort, and passion they all put into their performances today. They’re not just surviving—they’re thriving!—and I feel lucky that I get to teach them every week. 🥹

I was thinking earlier today about how much the harp program has transformed since fall 2022, going from 3 to now 11 students. Two years ago, I decided to open my studio to secondary students with the intention of a) supporting practices in diverse genres & harp traditions and b) making the harp accessible to the broader FSU community. I’m intentional about having the studio perform together—not separating the majors and non-majors—because I want my students to witness and appreciate the many ways of being a harpist.

Finally, we are continuing to grow, which is amazing and also means there will be some new initiatives on the horizon. Stay tuned!

today is quickly turning into a super super great day!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩

I get to teach my entrepreneurship class about funding in the arts this afternoon (put the fun in funding); the FSU Festival of New Music committee had its first meeting to prepare for our 2026 festival; and I got an email from the mailroom that our, not one, but three!! new Harp-E electric harps were waiting for me.

Thanks to Dean Queen for supporting my efforts to introduce more music technology into the harp curriculum, and to Joris Beets and the team at @harp_e_harp for partnering with us @musicfsu to bring accessible electric harp education to our students.

The FSU College of Music is always thinking about the future of music performance and education, and I’m excited to work with my students @fsuharp to make our harp program reflect that mission.

(tldr; so…come study with me at FSU! 😉)

I’m so excited to share with you all that I will be pursuing a B.M. in Harp Performance at the Florida State University College of Music, and study under one of my biggest role models, Dr. Noël Wan.

I am so grateful to my teachers Dickie, Ms. Kayo, and Deborah Fleisher for their mentorship, constant support, opportunities, and friendship. I would not be able to start this new chapter of my life without them.

I can’t wait for the upcoming fall!! ❤️💛
