Moments on film from Hilary + Brandon’s day at Dawn Ranch in Sonoma County, California. This day was perfectly curated to feel like if you hired a fashion designer to create a summer camp & I can’t get enough of it.

So many of these photos felt like capturing nostalgia in a bottle. Those little in between moments that would otherwise be forgotten- a happy tear wiped quickly away, the touch of a hand, laughs shared between friends. My job is to observe these fleeting memories and document them for you so you can relive over and over again.

Our quarterly gatherings are always an opportunity to learn and grow together, but this one invited us to think about development a little differently.

Our theme was Delight Through the Senses, and we spent the day slowing down, reconnecting, and making space to receive.

Chair massages. Mandala creation and meditation. Flower arranging (thank you @fullbloomflowerfarm for the beautiful flowers!). Tea and chocolate tasting. Poetry. Oracle cards. Conversation, creativity, laughter, and a little quiet, too.

In care work, so much of our energy is directed outward. Toward the families we support, the babies we tend to, and the people who depend on us.

Days like this remind us that tending to ourselves and one another matters, too.

Team growth isn’t only about adding more knowledge or sharpening our skills. It’s also about deepening relationships, creating space for reflection, experiencing joy together, and returning to our work feeling a little more restored and connected.

Because when we allow ourselves to receive care, delight, and nourishment, we have so much more of ourselves to give. 💛

So grateful for this team and the many ways we continue to grow together.

Behind the scenes of this glowing split meadow. Layers of work go into the mechanics and transport on pieces like these. Check out my process from under the most important plant on my farm, the shade of the walnut, to the walnut at @triplesranchnapa. Each arrangement for the couple coming together under the shade of the tree to bless their union and love with plants, heat and magic.

I am so honored and grateful to be a co-creator of @womenleadersinfood since its inception a decade ago. This stunning collection of portraits by @paigegreenphoto of the incredible humans who have been deep in this work together created a powerful presence which surrounded the 100 people who gathered for our 10th anniversary symposium on September 20.

It was a joy to be photographed and to find new words to synthesize what I do and why, and heartwarming to walk the room during our world cafe conversations while everyone reflected and shared their answers to the guiding question for this collaborative photo project and our gathering: What is the work you do and what is the WHY that drives you?

Here’s to each of us continuing on our path to live out our WHY in powerful and potent ways, and co-creating the future we collectively envision.

This is what being completely present on your wedding day looks like 🥹 Maya + Gus soaked up everyyyyy second with their people, danced basically at every opportunity, and ended the night with one of the most unhinged dance floors in the best possible way🔥
