I’ve been working the last year on putting together one of the largest creative projects I’ve ever undertaken. Like much of my work, it is about family, labor, myth, and environment. I will be performing with a huge cast of amazing collaborators tonight and tomorrow @camimuseum . Special thanks to @indycreativeriskfund and CAMi for their generous support of this project. Tickets available at the link in bio or at the door. Enjoy these photos of @funkoftherob and I performing ‘Demonstrate Good Work’, a preview of Good Work with video made in collaboration with Brian Allen. ‘Good Work’ Friday 10/23 - Doors 7p - Program 8p Saturday 10/24 - Doors 2p - Program 3p

There’s a lot that can make your world feel smaller and shrink your sense of possibility. Landon Caldwell wants to do the opposite. Landon hopes his project Good Work will leave audiences with an expanded sense of curiosity and wonder. Not only do artists help us interpret and understand the past, but they also help us imagine and realize new futures. According to Landon, that’s what all artists should be striving to do. Come see Landon at Risky Business Oct 10, 2026, at the Contemporary Art Museum of Indianapolis #creative #community #impact #indianapolis #music

Good Work began as an attempt to reclaim two inheritances: the lost American family lineage and a feeling for one’s own bioregion. I have been writing from the belief that people can only imagine futures they have the perceptual vocabulary to conceive and a place to build. Good Work is an effort to build that vocabulary out of both, reclaiming lost mythologies with inherited place. Structured as a work of abstract regionalism, the operetta treats folklore, family letters, and small-town oral history as source material of equal weight, layering them into a single performance built of asynchronous parts of text, sound, video, movement, and light. Tickets available at the link in my profile.
