Get @reshare_app • @furicious Wearing “Hedgehog” for #GlamNailsChallengeSept26:
@mjlacquer Love Is Here & Now You’re Gone (3 coats)

Base coat: KBShimmer Fillin’ Groovy (1 coat)
Water-based top coat: Apipila Smudge Free Nail Art Top Coat (1 coat)
Top coat: KBShimmer Clearly on Top (2 coats)
Matte top coat: Cracked Polish Matte Top Coat (1 coat)

This look was inspired by one created by @onenailtorulethemall, which was shared on her blog in 2018. I thought the little hedgehogs in love were so cute!

After applying the base color (which originally had a thermal effect, but now is dead in the warm state) and topocat, I handpainted the hedgehogs and the hearts using:
Orly Ceci N’est Pas Blanc (face, eye)
Orly Prince Charming (body)
Orly Feeling Foxy (nose, eye)
Zoya Codie (body)
@kbshimmer Such a Vlad-Ass (heart)

For the body, I started with Prince Charming and a nail art brush. Then I used a q-tip and dabbed Codie onto the body to try and add a bit more dimension. Everything else was done with a fine nail art brush. I finished with a layer of water-based topcoat, followed by glossy topcoat, followed by matte top coat.

Many thanks to Bianka, @nbnailart, for hosting @glamnailschallenge and inspiring me to #nailart it up!

So I don’t talk about this on here, but I do have a chronic illness called Crohns and it took me three years of suffering with absolutely horrible daily pain and two surgeries before I got properly diagnosed.

My new friend @howdy_nails opened up her #disabilitypridecollab to more than nail art this year, and this is my contribution. White and red are colours in the disability pride flag, white representing undiagnosed disabilities, and red representing physical ones. The colours of the flag wrap around the girl in the drawing’s abdomen where crohns and a number of other chronic illnesses affect people, and she is left blank/white curled up in pain and confusion over what’s happening. But red monarch butterfly wings spread out behind her, symbolizing hope that there are treatments and you can learn to live alongside your illness🦋❤️

Check out everyone’s contributions, and thanks to @howdy_nails and @loopyfrog_nails for hosting!
