Many thanks to those who made it last night for our book launch notwithstanding the tube strike! Beautiful and compelling performance by Stanley Iyanu who read with love and care Essex Hemphill’s poems in honour of Marlon T. Riggs. Lola (the celebrity dog) decided to jump off board and dive into the Thames during the aperitivo triggering one of the most complex rescue operations to be ever witnessed in London. Her mother was about to jump after her from a cargo boat, but thankfully refrained from doing so. They are both well. From the deck, the ship’s boy #aboutlastnight #lola #rescuedog #thames #boatlife #weekendscare #rescue #dogoverboard #dog

In this complicated year many things have happened and as many have not happened at all. The last time I wholeheartedly smiled must be when this picture was taken at the beginning of this crazy 2020, just before the COVID-19 shit tsunami hit. Stay vigilant. Love and protect each other and Merry Xmas y’all #family #covid19 #wellbeing #2020 #atsunamiofshit #merryxmas #festiveagainstallodds #spreadthelovenotthevirus #🙏🏼
