Olamina is one of the most powerful experiences happening at Poetry Blerds and Jams @poetryblerdsandjams . Dain Saint @dainsaint of @futurefullstories is facilitating a live storytelling circle where we step into the roles of Olamina’s ancestors, sending her guidance, challenges, and inspiration across time. Disagreements get settled with dice. Story beats turn into improvised call and response songs with live musicians. The whole room becomes part of the story.

If you love worldbuilding, if you love community, if you love imagination, this is the circle you want to be in.

We are 1 day away from the first ever spoken word comic con. Poetry, blerd culture, sci fi, fantasy, comics, gaming, Artist Alley, workshops, magic, community care, and a full spoken word concert. All in Germantown. All for us.

Pull up ready to create, ready to listen, ready to transform.

Tickets: eventbrite.com/e/poetry-blerds-jams-spoken-word-comic-con-tickets-1982077221325?discount=Early

Tap in with Olamina and Poetry Blerds and Jams and get ready for something unforgettable.

Had to do another poster! 🦸🏾‍♂️

Still beaming from this masssive win with @bicgrant. Ive been applying for grants for Olamina for over two years now to no avail; this is the first grant application that won.

It can be hard to stay positive through that process. But Olamina is always positive; every person that gets a chance to experience the circle walks away with a real sense of change, possibility, and optimism for the future. *I* believe in this project with all my heart, and I know with this win support is only going to grow.

Much love to everyone who has helped with my applications, listened to me vent, offered words of encouragement, and kept my head pointed to the clouds. And deepest love to the whole @futurefullstories family — we have so much dope shit planned for y’all! Time to take flight.

(We’re running our last Olamina circle of the summer this Saturday Aug 15 if you want to see what all the fuss is about 😉)
