couldn’t resist posting about the Art4Art fundraiser I participated in last week!! I had such a lovely time there, it was great to see so many fantastic paintings from local artists supporting the @fvrlibraries . the first two slides are my paintings that I donated, while the last slide is a beautiful piece made by @sharonirwinfiberarts that I purchased!! as always, shop local and support your community whenever possible. I’ll try and post more of my art soon 💜 #vancouverwa #localartist #acrylicpainting #woodburn #downtownvancouverwa

What happens when you combine the creativity of the Ridgefield Art Association, the joy of our annual Birdfest and Bluegrass Festival, and a little community spirit? You get two adorable chickadee’s taking over downtown! One of our very talented members created the sweetest chickadee costume, and another member‘s kids brought it to life, flitting, flying, and spreading smiles as they made their way around town to say hello to our wonderful local businesses and community members. They were the perfect little ambassadors for everything we love about Ridgefield: art, birds, music, creativity, and community. A huge shout out to our talented costume maker, Rose Jubb, and to our adorable chickadee’s, the Kelley kid’s, for helping make this celebration so special. Thank you to all of the local businesses and community members who welcomed them with a smile. It takes a whole flock to make this community so much fun! #ridgefieldwaartscene #artistssupportingartists #communitymatters #artmatters #birdfestandbluegrass

💡 Want another great stocking-little-libraries hack? ⬇️ 📖 Most public libraries have their retired inventory on sale on a daily basis for 1 to 2 dollars or less! Snatching these up not only gives you some great cheap picks for your local little libraries, but it also supports your public library -- double win! 🧼 And I honestly really enjoy taking these home to clean them up and give them new life for somebody's book shelves! It's really easy to remove the plastic covers (carefully slice through the tape with a knife to avoid damage) and then you can peel off the library stickers and remove any excess residue with GooGone and some mild multipurpose cleaner (my go-to is Method)! 📚 Usually I just recycle the plastic covers, but in this case I put them back on, since these are destined for little libraries, and extra weather protection can't hurt! 🤗 ⏭️ Swipe for some Library Book make over pics! 🤭 〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️ 🧚‍♂️ Hi! I'm the BookBox Guy! Thanx for visiting my page! 🧚‍♂️ 💫 All books for this project are specially selected and sourced from independent, non-profit thriftstores, libraries, or straight from my personal shelves & the shelves of my bookish buddies! 💫 #littlefreelibrary #littlelibraries #bookboxguy #locallibrary #bookdonations
