A May Dump was fun to put together.
Filled with passion, work, volunteering, family, friends, people who inspire me, goals, watching ‘Call of My Life’ with some of my favorite people, seeing Arsenal win the Premier League, and wrapping it up with our Champions Concert where we received our LAMDA certificate. A beautiful month indeed.

When finance meets creativity, the narrative changes forever.

It was an absolute honour to welcome the legendary Ms. Joke Silva, the brilliant Mrs Ego Boyo, and the phenomenal powerhouse of the Forum of Women in Film and Television Nigeria (FWIFT).

Creativity is not a peripheral sector; it is a strategic economic frontier and an investable asset class. As women, we are not just characters in the African narrative, we are the authors, the producers, and the architects of its global future.

Hosting these incredible storytellers proves that when women in finance and women in media collaborate, we don’t just shape culture, we transform economies.

To the incredible women who joined us, what was your biggest takeaway from the evening?

Happy Africa Day. Today we celebrate the brilliance, vision, and power of African storytellers - and the women leading film and entertainment across a continent home to one of the fastest-growing creative economies in the world.

In partnership with @WIFTAfricaHq, we launched seven national WIFT chapters: @fwiftnigeria @wiftghana @wift_kenya @wiftsenegal @wiftcameroon @wift_southafrica @wiftzambia 🇳🇬🇬🇭🇰🇪🇸🇳🇨🇲🇿🇦🇿🇲

Together we concluded a milestone initiative and brought a historic delegation of women creatives from 10 African countries to @festivaldecannes — including a first-ever WIFT Africa booth in the @marchedufilm.

To every member, chapter president, producer, and executive across Africa, and to all the delegates who carried this movement to Cannes — we see you, we celebrate you, and we’re building alongside you.

In 2025, Women in the Arts impacted over 2,000 people (women and men alike) through programs that advanced equity, visibility, and access across Nigeria’s creative industries.

Through F.R.A.M.E we advanced female representation in media, supporting women’s voices in film, screen storytelling, and narrative leadership.

We Launched at the Nigerian International Film Summit @nifsummit (slides 2-4) and collaborated with Forum of Women in Film & TV @fwiftnigeria at the African Creative Market @africacreativemarketglobal (slides 5-9) to further introduce FRAME to more audience.

Through the Script Writing Conference, (Slides 10–12), we strengthened scriptwriting capacity and narrative power, deepening conversations around representation, authorship, and who gets to tell stories in the arts. It kicked off virtually and further had physical sessions in Nairobi, Kenya and Lagos, Nigeria.

During the just concluded Lagos Fringe @lagosfringe (Slides 13-16), we had a session tagged “Let’s Talk About Men” of course, as Allies and not competitions.

we held space for critical conversations on gender, allyship, and culture, including dialogues that positioned men as partners in equity and change.

We also consistently had the Gender Equitable Storytelling sessions weekly (virtually), where we squash stereotypical storytelling narratives and continuously shape our stories beyond the average world’s perception.

Beyond programs, we published the “Dangerous Women” article (slide 15). A narrative intervention unveiled at the World Bank @worldbank conference and shared across platforms and countries, challenging harmful stereotypes and reshaping how women in the creative industry are seen, valued, and heard.

This is the work of Women in the Arts:

building access, shifting narratives, and creating space for everyone to thrive (especially women) in arts, culture, and creative leadership.
