“Useless Things” is out now! I recorded the album alone in my basement earlier this fall, but I’ve been slowly working on the songs over the past 3-4 years. I wasn’t sure if they’d ever see the light of day, but here we are! It feels good to finally get them out of my head and into the world! Thank you to @g.himsel for mixing & mastering the album and for pointing a metaphorical shotgun at me to make sure I finished recording. Thank you to @steely.dana for designing the album art, taking all album photos, and for always supporting me 🤎 Thank you to @carsonisbug for one time saying “Ahh you’ll get it done” which helped me, well, get it done. And thank you to all the support I’ve received for my music from my friends, family, & community. It means the world to me :) Come celebrate with me tonight @the_atomic_ranch !!And let me know what ya think!

THIS SHOW KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER! 🎃 🦇🐀 Announcing the addition of Thou Merciless Graves to this show as the opening performance! ⛵⚓🛶🐙🦑 Join us on this voyage of the 1922 Horror Classic, NOSFERATU with opening act Thou Merciless Graves on Wed 10/28 at The Press Room. A band of local musicians will perform a custom score in sync with the screening of the film. All music is written and performed by; Maddoc Johnson (Maddoc Johnson Band), Geoff Himsel (Bird Friend), Rob Littlefield (Amulus, The Tercet, & The Lonely Ghosts), Nate Gruen (The Lonely Ghosts), and Ben Wellwood (Your host for the evening). Thou Merciless Graves blends eerie storytelling with electro-folk sea shanties - a combination that won them both the People’s Choice Award and Best Full Length Ensemble at the 2025 Boston Fringe Festival. Drawing inspiration from classic maritime folk by the likes of Stan Rogers and Gordon Bok, gothic folk doom artists like Chelsea Wolfe and Emma Ruth Rundle, and the songwriter's childhood growing up on a small sailboat in the North Atlantic, Thou Merciless Graves seeks to tell stories of the horrors and wonders of the ocean with doomy synths, resonant string drones, unconventional guitar stylings and emotional, powerful vocals meant to be heard over the waves. 6 pm doors/7pm show All Ages | $15 adv./$20 day of
