Oh là là, mes amis… what a weekend in Nice! 🇫🇷 🥐🥖

The 70.3 World Championship is never supposed to be easy, and Nice takes that very personally. The Mediterranean views and French baguettes do absolutely nothing to make your legs hurt less, this 70.3 course asks for a lot and our crew delivered a terrific display of fitness, form and, most importantly, execution:

🏅 Saturday: Sophia W. (6:00:06)
🏅 Sunday: Guillaume S. (5:19:26) and Sam S. (6:09:20)

They raced hard without racing stupid, stayed patient when the course demanded it, and put months of work into practice when it actually mattered. That’s the stuff we love seeing as fitness gets you to the start line ready, but execution is what allows you to actually use it.

Very proud of this crew and the way they represented PG Tri Squad on the World Championship stage! Now eat the croissants, drink a glass of wine. You’ve earned them.

🌍 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON IS HERE! The world’s best are heading to Nice, France 🇫🇷 for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship and we’ve got three musketeers ready to fly the PGS flag on the Côte d’Azur.

Meanwhile, stateside… Wisconsin decided one race simply wasn’t enough, so we took the bait 🧀 it’s a full-on double dip for the squad in Madison with IRONMAN 70.3 Wisconsin + IRONMAN Wisconsin on the same weekend. Half on Saturday. Full on Sunday.

LET’S. FREAKING. GO.

Had some major FOMO 2 weeks ago after not making it to the start line of Muncie 70.3 as originally scheduled. But if endurance sports has taught me anything—especially while navigating two autoimmune diseases—it’s how to adapt when things don’t go according to plan.

Fast forward to this past weekend - getting back to Lake Placid, catching up with east coast friends I hadn’t seen in months (or years), and sneaking in some training away from the boiling AZ summer was exactly the reset I needed.

As always, I’m incredibly proud of and inspired by @pedrogomestri and everyone from the @pgtrisquad who raced Ironman Lake Placid. Covering 140.6 miles and crossing that finish line is something to never be taken for granted.

At the end of the day, I love this sport - the experiences it’s given me, the people it’s brought into my life, and the places it’s taken me. Some days you get to chase your own goals. Other days, you get to celebrate and support others as they chase theirs. Both are pretty special.

Onward to the next start line…and hopefully my body decides to cooperate along the way!🤞
