Legendary Los Angeles-based DJ, turntablist, producer, crate digger and Jurassic 5 member DJ Nu-Mark — aka Uncle Nu — makes his Vietnam debut on Thursday, October 1, touching down at @blends_social_bar as part of his 2026 Asia tour.

A fixture of the West Coast turntablism and beat scene for decades, Nu-Mark has spent years digging through the crates and pushing the possibilities of the turntables and beyond, with sets and collaborations alongside Jazzy Jeff, The Beat Junkies, Invisible Scratch Pickles, Cut Chemist, DJ Shadow, Skratch Bastid and Koco. His production credits are equally expansive, having worked with Jurassic 5, Method Man, MF DOOM, Large Professor, Aloe Blacc, Charles Bradley and Del the Funky Homosapien, among others.

Founder of Hot Plate Records, the vinyl imprint dedicated to modern 7-inch releases, with a catalogue that has brought together the likes of Quantic, Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band, Jungle Fire, Full Crate, Traffic and Diamond D.

For Bamboogie, the night continues a series of sessions built around DJs, selectors and musicians who have shaped and inspired the world and our collective’s sound.
This one is about the records and giving our flowers to Uncle Nu for all that he has contributed to the global musical community.

Nu-Mark joins the @bamboogie_collective and friends for a night moving through the funkier reaches of Hip-Hop, Soul, Funk, Breaks, Disco, House and the spaces in between — from the first drop of the needle to the last record dug out from the crates, the boogie is guaranteed.

An emergent, spacious addition central to Hội An’s nightlife, OTA is helping opening up the night life scene in Central Vietnam where music, art and local and international communities connect.

We’ll be bringing the turntables, mixer and crates full of vinyl goodness to bless OTA’s fresh floor all night long.

Expect Funk, Soul, Hip Hop, Reggae, Dancehall, Latin, Afrobeat, Disco, House and other rare grooves to keep your spirits and smiles on the good foot.

Joining the crew is Tsinelas, an Australian vinyl excavator and selector with a deep focus on Cumbia, Brazilian sounds and Latin rhythms.

Quện và mindspray là một “mối tình đơn phương” qua internet. Anh chính là người truyền cảm hứng cho những quyết định làm mixset đầu tiên của Quện. Và sau 3 năm, nhờ công anh em Hữu Duyên đã mang mối tình xuyên biên giới này từ online ra ngoài đời thực gặp nhau.

Đó là một buổi chiều đầy nắng trên biển Hội An, những người đàn ông mang trong mình tâm hồn của con trẻ đang nô đùa. Phía xa xa, có mindspray, Thamz, KidNasty bật nhạc cho chơi. Chúng tôi chơi nhạc và bị nhạc chơi, chúng tôi chơi bóng nhưng chưa từng bị bóng chơi. Một buổi team building trá hình mang tên “Vinyl Session”...

Quện and mindspray started out as a one-sided internet love story.
He was one of the people who inspired Quện to make our very first mixsets. And three years later, thanks to the Hữu Duyên boys, this little cross-border online romance finally made its way into real life.
It was a sunny afternoon by the sea in Hội An — grown men with the souls of little kids, running around and having the time of their lives.
Somewhere in the background, mindspray, Thamz and KidNasty were playing music for us to play to.
We played music, and the music played us.
We played ball, but somehow, the ball never got to play us.
Basically, a team-building session in disguise, going by the name:
“Vinyl Session.”
