"Life-changing"

That is the simple definition of what our LDZ was. And as we kept seeing, we truly made it OUR LDZ. All of this time what made everything special was the people involved, because a program can happen at any time, but all of these wonderful people being together is something once in a lifetime.

Through all of these experiences, I was also shown that the best ability we have, is to connect. Through connection is where we find all of those heartfelt moments; connection is what made all of the pretty feelings that we had and the reason why we might feel a little sad after leaving; connection is the reason why we bonded and helped each other. And I am truly honored to have connected with the people I have.

I can only be grateful for the staff that was with us through this amazing week, challenging our preconceived notions, and getting us to slowly leave our comfort zones with positivity. They were that initial spark that set this experience up. And of course I will remember those little moments that I spent with everyone at LDZ, because you are what made my LDZ. I'm so glad I got to meet so many people and spent as much time as I could with them. I really wouldn't change anything about this LDZ. Thank you everyone that crossed my path, and I hope we meet again next year :)

Im gonna miss all of you. I know I don’t have photos with some of you but just know that I will always remember you. I never thought this program would lend me some really good and beautiful friends. This was an unforgettable and heartwarming experience. I LOVE YOU ALL💗

We’ve finally reached the end of our @uniqlo countdown! 👏

Tonight we kicked off the celebrations with a @uniqlousa welcome party, and TOMORROW, October 18th, we’ll open the #UNIQLO doors to you all! Congratulations @g.von.g on your collaboration with @uniqlo @uniqlousa!! It’s been so beautiful to witness the growth and trajectory of your artistic career throughout all these years. 🥹❤️

It makes us emotional thinking about 7-year-old DEARGIANA and how poise, professional, and bright-eyed she was when we partnered with her parents to present her first solo exhibition in 2016. All from a direct message conversation, we rallied together, locked in a friend’s gallery space in Seattle for 150 bucks (RIP J Moore ❤️), and were off to the races to bring it all to life. Showcasing over 40 original art works of Giana’s iconic half/half high-end fashion illustrations, spanning from ages 5-7.

Upon entering the exhibition, kids were gifted sketchbooks and pencils in hopes of Giana’s work inspiring an artistic itch of their own. Till this day, we remember kids sitting on the floor, taking pencil to paper, recreating the art they saw along the gallery walls.

This is what it’s all about. Pouring into kids and supporting them on their journeys. G’s story is a testament of self-knowing and belief. A reminder that sometimes that’s all it takes - your parents who see you, believe in you, and a community willing to show up.

We’re incredibly happy to see you living out your dreams and inspiring kids (and adults!) all over the globe, G! It’s a cool, cool world with you in it 💕
