It started out as a whisper. It was my voice and it wasnt. A message, a direct one. “Go the The Pearl, and find Heather.”Who is that I asked? “Go to the Pearl and find Heather”. I/The Voice repeated. I was in the hillside meets seaside town of Cititanova Italy on a one week retreat with the incomparable Jeanie Baker @intuitivesoul_coachingretreats I was laying on my mat, post sound bath, in total relaxation and openness to the messages of the Universe and my Guides. And that message is what I heard. It ended with my 200 Hr Yoga Teacher Certificate. In between was 6 challenging months of Yoga Teacher Training. With such uncomfortable growth. @enlightened_yoga @gabburd8 and @heartguidedyogi all held the torches, guiding us through the darkness of self doubt, all the while teaching us all about yoga on and off mat. But growth -Huge personal growth and at the end … the biggest and best reward….Deep friendships and sisterhood, the knowledge and confidence to teach vinyasa (and not just mediocrely but well) - a new lens to look at my life- and the invigorating spark of curiosity towards what is possible. I love you my eagles! Now let’s go get our Barbie hands out there and teach!! ✌️🌎🦅🌈

The past 6 months with this talented and soulful group of women was an absolute dream. The most grounding rollercoaster… full to the brim with growth, connection, continual practice, devotion, support, and love. It’s such an honor to help bring new yoga teachers into the world alongside the best teacher trainer co-leaders - Heather & Gabby.

I’m so thankful to be alive at the same time as this magical community of women and grateful to be a witness in their beautiful lives unfolding.

Beyond that, I’m at a loss for words while I integrate how impactful and special this YTT program was to me this year. My first full 200 hour cohort… just, wow ☺️

The gift of watching new ytt students begin their journey nervous and excited and over 6 months grow and awaken into powerful, compassionate, connected teachers is profound, humbling, joyful, and my greatest blessing.

Congratulations to this OMazing YTT cohort. Their hearts are as beautiful as their smiles. Come see them at THE pearl teaching our $10 community classes starting in June!

Dear 2025, you changed me in ways I didn’t know I was capable of. You reminded me to listen to my intuition, to honor myself. To allow others to see my light, and hear my voice. I was given the gift of awakening, which was ignited in Italy, but further flamed when my position at work was eliminated, and I became free to dive deep into my heart. Reach down into the depths and bring up the me who had been quietly waiting, wishing to be seen and heard.
I have had many beautiful teachers this year. Incredible women who have seen me, pushed me and filled my heart with wisdom and love. For these women, I am truly truly grateful. And I’m also proud of myself, for showing up, even when it was hard. I still struggle with self worth and self doubt and the inner critic negotiations are daily and real- and I’m still showing up. And I don’t know what’s next but I’m choosing to trust. I will ease into 2026 with grace and love and with the same slow listening to my heart and my intuition I gained in 2025…. Calling in Trust and Arrival in 2026! Arrive and Shine. ✨ Happy New Year my friends. 🕯️🩵

2025 was undeniably rich with purpose and passion.

When it comes to the work I do, not only was it the biggest and most abundant part of my life this year, but it came with such immense growth as a teacher and as a student. Opportunities I’ve been patiently manifesting and dreaming up since 2018 bloomed this past calendar year for me as well.

I taught 332 classes,
25 workshops,
13 privates,
3 summer camp sound sessions,
2 speaking events,
1 sunrise yoga for FRAC in DC,
1 collab with Lulu at the Columbia mall,
2 RETREATS (spring + fall),
2 full to the brim weekends co-leading YTT alongside @enlightened_yoga and @gabburd8 ♥️♥️
and officially became certified to teach QiGong.

Honestly, the most abundant career season so far and my heart feels so expansive from it all as I look back.

In years prior, I’ve made 4-5 separate reels to share my year through the rewind process. This year, I’m aiming for just 2. Almost feels like a depiction of a double life sharing it in 2 separate ways - but I know in my heart that all of it has honestly integrated into this one big beautiful life that I’ve created and get to enjoy ♥️

I really combed through everything to reflect on 2025 - old posts and story archives, photos in my phone, my planner, my journal… and while the reflections are a bit too in depth to fit in a caption space… the videos and photos have been chosen more intentionally than in the past.

Thank you, 2025, for yoga, Qigong, movement, and sound healing… for asking me to show up bolder and brighter than ever before, and for the incredible supportive community at THE pearl spa. Extra big gratitude and love to my sweet Heather for hiring me 2 years ago and becoming one of the most special people in my world. Thank you 🙏🏼

YTT weekend #2 flowed so beautifully 🥹

Sharing time and space and energy with this group always leaves me with a feeling of immense gratitude, over every other feeling that shows up. It’s leaves me feeling inspired and in awe of the magic I have the privilege of witnessing in real time. Those moments when the student becomes the teacher and shows up to lead and share with confidence, with heart, with knowing, with fear of messing up or not being enough… but stepping forward anyway. The moments where we all collectively KNOW and TRUST that our voices, our listening, our hands on assisting, our bodies moving, our space holding, our breathing in and out… are all just messengers from our hearts. And what a REAL feeling that is to be had. To be witnessed. To have our hearts and intentions felt and seen and understood and supported… just as we are— in our beautifully authentic, messy, imperfect human embodiments.

I’ll never forget my own 200 hour teacher training. The belonging that I felt within that cohort and within the yoga community as a whole. The sense of peace and trust it brought into my life. The self-love and acceptance. The compassion. The way it allowed me to find my own light… and to become.

When you sign up for a yoga teacher training… it isn’t just some random choice. It’s a deep longing, an inner knowing, the path of seeking… something more. There’s no room to keep hiding or find comfort from your old patterns that try to join you on this spiritual and yogic journey. It’s devotion and consistency with yourself and with that which is beyond yourself, your mind, and your ego.

It’s a gift… AND it will only show up to meet you as far as you’re willing to and honest about meeting yourself.

October was speedy… full… enlivening.
Staying focused, steady and right here, right now.
Energy portals, energy collapses, trusting myself, the timing and language of the universe.
Teaching, learning, being, seeing, and preparing for the sweet surrender of what’s awakening 💗
