Get to know the team, Part 1. 📝💙

You may already know us from your visits, but there’s always more to the people behind the care. Over the next three weeks, we’re sharing a little more about our team, from personal interests to fun facts you might not know!

First up, a look at four members of the Propel team beyond the clinic.

October 2020. The world was shut down, waiting rooms sat empty, and plenty of people told us it was the wrong time to open a physical therapy practice.

We opened anyway.

We started with a small team, a clear vision, and a belief that patients deserved more than rushed visits and cookie-cutter care. We wanted to build something different: a place where people felt seen, where clinicians had room to grow, and where every visit moved someone closer to the life they wanted back.

Six years later, we’re still here.

About half of businesses in the United States don’t make it past year five. Every year of that stretch tested us, through staffing, insurance hurdles, rising costs, and the everyday grind of building something from nothing. There were no shortcuts. There were early mornings, late nights, hard conversations, and a team that refused to settle for good enough.

This past year was our strongest yet. We opened another site. We welcomed multiple new clinicians and team members who raised the standard of care across every location. And we grew by more than 40 percent as an organization.

Those numbers matter, but they aren’t the real story. Every milestone in these photos belongs to the people behind it: physical therapists who give everything to their patients, leaders who carry their teams, and a patient experience staff that makes everyone who walks through our doors feel like family.

To our team: thank you for believing in this vision and building it alongside us. None of this happens without you.

To our patients: thank you for trusting us with your recovery, your goals, and your stories. You are the reason we do this work.

Better data helps us make better decisions.

Our Propel Physical Therapy team is continuing to learn how to integrate KINVENT technology into our rehabilitation process. With guidance from Dr. Angel Ortiz and Dr. Mario, our team is gaining hands-on experience with tools like the K-Deltas, K-Myo, and K-Pull.

These tools allow us to collect objective data, identify strength and movement deficits, track progress, and help our patients clearly see how they are improving throughout their rehab.

We’re always working together, learning, and finding better ways to provide the highest level of care.

ACL rehab is more than just squats, lunges, and jumping.

Late-stage ACL reconstruction rehab needs to prepare the athlete for the demands of their sport, and that means building strength, power, speed, and the ability to react in real time.

In this video, Dr. Gaby is working with her patient through a combination of heavy strength training followed by agility work.

The goal is not just to move fast, but to control the body while changing direction, decelerating, accelerating, and reacting to a cone called out while in motion.

This challenges:
✅ Change of direction
✅ Deceleration control
✅ Acceleration
✅ Foot speed
✅ Decision-making under movement
✅ Confidence returning to sport

Before an athlete returns to the field or court, they need to prove they can handle more than controlled gym exercises.

They need to be strong, reactive, and ready for the unpredictable demands of their sport.
