POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Back online after a busy month to finally ease into my winter break. ❄️ Mama came to visit me all the way from Miami! We spent our afternoons going to the Norton Simon, getting tea at Madeline Garden, seeing the LA Zoo lights, and even we got to see “The Nutcracker Ballet” thanks to the lovely @mom2mrnick .

I love you mama!

We spent 24 hours in Julian, California for Halloween! 🎃 After thinking we weren’t going to be able to take an autumn trip this year, we were both so glad to find that Julian was just a 2 hour road-trip away.

We spent the night at the Gold Rush Bed and Breakfast where we enjoyed card games in costume as old Halloween music played through their parlor speakers (I asked Andy- “is this music AI???? It’s very on-the-nose lol…nope! All real!)

Their complimentary breakfast included homemade granola cereal, apple juice, and homemade waffles with butter, syrup, and fruit! (Please remind me that I cannot start a bed and breakfast. I cannot start a bed and breakfast. Everyone who goes to a B&B dreams of starting their own, right? 😂 ignore the urge and enjoy the waffles!!)

During the day we strolled through the little town and enjoyed milkshakes at Miner’s Diner, barbecue brisket at the Julian Beer Company, and a slice of pie at one of their MANY pie shops. We also walked through a real gold mine in the dark!

I also found my birthday dress. 🙂

Now we’re home and I can happily say that we had a wonderful Halloween! Thank you Julian ❤️🎃

✨RICKY PUBLISHED A BOOK!✨
“School is Where we Grow” is Ricky’s first illustrator credit in a published book. He has dedicated himself for over a year to making vibrant illustrations that really show his care for detail. His classroom scenes are full of energy and characters that invite you to spend time with the page. ✨

Ricky’s grown in his ability to collaborate and understand art direction, and together we created a story that would inspire little learners to love school. ❤️

This book is now available on Ricky’s personal Amazon page! Could you see this book in your classroom, in your child’s bookshelf, or at your local library? I can!

Click our link above to get your copy and support Ricky’s dream of becoming an independent professional artist. ✨

Great job, Ricky!

✨Haven’t posted in 3 months but it’s ok cuz we’ve been BUSY!!✨ Take a look at some of the magic we’ve been creating this summer:

- Ricky’s building his collection of hand-painted wooden toys, and I think they’re truly good enough to be one-of-a-kind collectibles! I mean, look at those zombies!

- We got to meet hundreds of lovely people at Resource Fairs all over Los Angeles who were eager to purchase art, join our mentorship, and support our mission!

- Fourth image: This is a sneak-peek of the products we’re making cuz guess what? Every single NOVEL artist now has their OWN online shops 😎 Every. Single. One. Stay turned for info on how you can snag these goodies!

- We went to ComicCon in Pasadena! Everyone had a great time sifting through comics and meeting independent artists.

- We made new friends! Casey and Alexandra are two incredible artists with their own micro-enterprises. I look forward to seeing them both at every Resource Fair! ❤️

- Our artists continue to create joy through their art! Our newest member, Nora, has learned to create her own clay magnets. Vyara is working on her first book for publishing!

- Animal friends continue to sit on our work tables, and we continue to welcome them…and pet them ❤️❤️

“Riders of Rohan! What news from the mark?”

We rode horses through fields of wildflowers on some of Wyoming’s most beautiful mountains…but I could’ve sworn I was riding through Rohan.

Also: tall horse + tall Gaby + tall mountain = this is way to high bro…putting a lot of trust in this frikkin horse😂

I dipped my feet into sweet mountain waters surrounded by some of my best friends in the world ❤️ The five of us have been a roaming pack of giggles for almost 20 years, & we finally decided to reunite for a weekend in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It felt like we’re all kids again- five conversations going on all at once- “finish your story! Wait what were you saying?!? Oh my god wait everybody shut up!!! lol we have to finish this story!!”

Beautiful chaos. I’ll be posting photos throughout the week of the adventure!

✨James is officially a published illustrator!

He’s released his first book, “My Coloring Book of Happy Animals” on Amazon! ❤️

His joyful, imaginative artwork is now available for everyone to enjoy, and the best part? Every sale goes directly to James, supporting his journey as an independent artist!

I’ve always dreamed that NOVEL School of Art would one day act as a publisher- a place where artists with disabilities could bring their stories to life and earn real income from their work. That dream is becoming a reality!

💡Your talent deserves to be seen and rewarded.

🔥Do you want to celebrate James’ success and support his art?
🎨 Grab his coloring book on Amazon & leave a review! Your support makes a huge difference. Link in Bio!
