FIKA WITH BJARNE IS BACK! ☕️ 🍪  
Starting this Sunday, October 18, at 9 AM MT / 5 PM Central Europe. 
I’m so fired up to get this series going again. @fika_with_bjarne is something really special to me, and I can’t wait to share these next episodes with you. 
After 15 years of filming people in the outdoors, I’ve often felt there was something missing. We see what people do, but how often do we really get to know who they are? Their stories, their struggles, and their lives beyond what we see on camera. 
Another reason I started this series is that I feel our attention spans are getting shorter and shorter. Everything is so fast these days. I wanted to create something that invites us to slow down, focus, and actually sit down and enjoy watching something for more than five seconds. 
In Sweden, fika is about slowing down, connect with others, sharing a coffee, listening, asking questions, and spending quality time together. I wanted to bring that feeling into filmmaking. 
I spend a day with athletes and creators, doing what they love, hanging out, and having honest, deeper conversations about life. No big crew. Just people being people. 
We already have plenty of episodes ready to go, featuring:

💔💔💔 We set Stratton’s spirit free this past winter. Sadly, almost five years ago, we released another free spirit into the next life.

Like everyone else, I was inspired by and in love with Strat and Alex from day one. Their infectious energy and endless laughter was a straight shot to the soul. Our adventures are tattooed into my permanent memory. I just wish we’d had a few more.

Stratton was one of my favorite people to see, hug, and smile with. Shredding together was a beautiful bonus.

When Stratton was out on one of his bike to board missions in the wet, cold, windy winter conditions that most people would never consider riding a bike in to go shred… I would often wonder what he was thinking about. My thoughts would always arrive back at his spirit, and whatever I thought about next was warmed by a little piece of Stratton that I keep with me today. The song was from a tribute edit @tyndallwells put together from their project in the Wind River Range. Stratton was living big in that couloir like he did every day.

SURPRISE!!! ‘Noise Ordinance’ will have a record out at midnight🍒

Last fall we all had gathered for the combination of snow and sound. Debuting ski/snowboard films with all of our original music. My songs ‘Familiar Faces’ and ‘Geez Louise’ have been redefined by my favorite jazz band in NYC, they did an incredible job putting this record together.

Thank you to @strattonmattesonlegacy for believing in my voice to be the soundtrack for your film. And thank you to @galacticbrown for bringing us all together. And many thanks to everyone else involved!

I’ve never truly been a part of something so special and every musician, athlete, filmer, producer, dreamer, and supporter involved could feel that magic every night in every sold out performance.

Super excited to announce that my album with @trinityjane and @chima_the_s with the wonderful band @katznels @wilsonmanjones @blipthefifth is out now! This album came about following the noise ordinance tour last fall and all the wonderful experiences we had sharing our music with ski communities on the west coast. It’s been a tremendous honor to work with both chima and trinity and to be trusted to interpret their music and I’ve been excited to share this with the world for a while now. Huge shoutout to @xanderfire and @galacticbrown for everything they’ve done to make this happen. Shoutout to @big_larry_4ever for the beautiful album cover and @probablevoltages for a bunch of help getting this recorded. There’s a band camp and Spotify link in my bio, and it is also on all streaming platforms. More announcements to come soon!
