AWAD is delighted to welcome new member Miranda Salt of Galerie Miranda to its Global chapter.

Miranda opened her gallery, which specialises in fine art photography, in the 10th arrondissement in Paris on International Women's Day in 2018. Since then, she has been active in the photography market in France and across Europe, as well as in the UK and US. If you're in Paris this week, be sure to pop by for an artist talk and mixer today on the occasion of her current exhibition Antiphoto. Heading to Paris Photo in November instead? Miranda will be presenting a solo exhibition there of Merry Alpern's Dirty Windows series at booth B52.

To find out more about Miranda's art world journey, check out the AWAD blog at the link in our bio.

And we’re off for the new semester!!! 🎉

Yesterday, our Junior and Senior BFA Photography students paid a visit with instructor Steve Bisson to the amazing Miranda Galerie in Paris.

They had the opportunity to discover the brilliant new exhibition, “Antiphoto,” featuring the work of Justine Kurland and Mariah Robertson. Both American artists challenge the photographic canon, laying it under siege by cutting it up, painting over it, photocopying it, and repurposing its founding pillars.

The visit was also a wonderful opportunity to engage in a conversation with Miranda Salt, founder of this precious gallery dedicated to art and photography in Paris.

A great way to kick off the new semester! 📸✨
