The Lord has been so faithful and even in the busy reminds me to be still and have a thankful heart.

Last week, we received several messages asking about a scent that is no longer part of our Fall collection, so we thought we’d share a little behind-the-scenes about why scents sometimes come and go at Ironwood.

When we discontinue a scent, there can be a few different reasons. Sometimes a scent just isn’t received as well as we had hoped. And surprisingly, sometimes it can even come down to the name we chose! Naming scents is hard and yet so important. A name can really influence how someone feels about a scent before they’ve even smelled it.

Other times, our fragrance oil suppliers discontinue an oil that we used in one of our blends. When that happens we can’t recreate the scent exactly as we had it. After putting so much time into our blends this is a disappointing way to say goodbye to a scent.

So if you ever notice a favorite scent disappear, there’s usually a story behind it and sometimes we’re just as sad to see it go as you are!

Bridal Bouquet Monday goes to @georgiaabigailphoto for this past Saturday’s stunning wedding — All burgundy Calla Lilies with a little cascade — I mixed in a few clips of her ceremony flowers as well. It’s an honor to have designed for a fellow wedding industry gal! 🤍 Just itching to see more of the photos that @galleriesbysarajayne captured from this day!
