POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

To my village, my friends, my clients, my family, my team, every human who sent me a welcome message here, my soul family in Miami, my soul family that I moved from NY, NJ and all over the world

I don't know if I will ever be able to fully put into words what you have meant to me through this move.

I left my whole life. What was comfortable, what was full or life and richness, and what was familiar.

And You showed up. I will never be the same after experiencing this outpouring of love and kindness

You showed up with your hands, your time, your energy, your food, gifts, thoughtfulness, your laughter, your love.

What you gave me is the most supportive thing you can have possibly given me - a lesson in being loved so well, a masterclass in receiving, your open overflowing hearts

You gave me the experience of being held.

Of being cared for exactly as I am. In a tender, exciting, vulnerable and new time.

To my friends, community and team - in this move you have taught me something not conceptual, but rather something I learned through lived experience:

To allow myself be surprised and delighted by the depth of what is available when I open my hands and heart and to all the love available through you in this universe

I said yes to a new possibility. To a new life. To a wider mission.

And then my village rose around me.

You reminded me that independence doesn't mean doing everything yourself.

That strength can look like allowing yourself to be carried.

That a new beginning can be made softer by the people who surround you.

And maybe this is part of the miracle of this time of my life, and maybe yours (the reader of this post too)

What if the possibility in the universe for me, for you, for us is not only having the courage to step into the unknown,

but discovering who is standing beside me, you, us when we do?

I am so, so grateful for you.

I thought I was moving into a new home.

But somewhere along the way, I realized I was also being shown just how much home lives inside of every single one of you

You are part of this chapter, this home

And you are part of the possibility I get to live inside now.

I love you so much

Thank you Hashem, for you

Women walk into this retreat carrying worlds on their shoulders.
Exhausted. Overwhelmed. Lonely. Guarded. Unsure if anyone could truly understand the weight they carry silently every single day.

And somehow… over the course of a few days, something shifts.

Walls begin to soften.
Laughter returns.
Tears are finally safe to fall.
Women who walked in feeling broken leave feeling seen, held, understood, and reminded that they are not alone.

There is something deeply powerful that happens when women come together with honesty, compassion, courage, and hope.
Healing happens in the conversations between sessions, in the late-night laughter, in the hugs, in the quiet moments, in the “me too.”

This reel is only a tiny glimpse of what we can show 🤍
So much of the real magic lives in the moments that stay safely held in the hearts of the women who came.

Thank you to every facilitator, volunteer, sponsor, donor, supporter, staff member, and woman who helped co-create this space with us. None of this happens alone. Your heart, generosity, patience, and belief in this mission made this retreat possible.

Together, we created a space for women to breathe again.

Honored to stand alongside the incredible women of The Comfort Zone at their annual retreat 🤍

From an inspiring opening by founder Estee Weingarten to a powerful, honest panel featuring our own Jessica Steinmetz, LMHC, CASAC-G, the evening created space for real conversations about navigating life with a spouse in active addiction—while protecting your home, your children, and yourself.

Representing SAFE, Jessica and Maggy Aulson, LCSW, connected with attendees in an intimate, supportive setting where no question was off limits. The takeaway was clear: no one has to navigate this alone.

At SAFE, we believe family support isn’t conditional. Whether your loved one is in treatment or not, you deserve guidance, tools, and a place to be supported.

If your family is impacted by addiction, reach out. We’re here for you—every step of the way.
Call (718) GET-SAFE. All calls are confidential.

Purim is a time of joy.
But joy should never come at someone else’s safety.

For many people — this isn’t just a l’chaim.
It’s recovery.
It’s boundaries.
It’s years of rebuilding a life you can’t see from the outside.

Please don’t push drinks.
Not as a joke.
Not as pressure.
Not because “it’s Purim.”

If someone says no — believe them the first time.
They don’t owe an explanation, a story, or their history to anyone.

And especially with teens or kids —
a first drink should never come from our hands.
We don’t want to be part of someone’s future struggle.

This Purim, let the mitzvah be protecting people, not persuading them.

Real simcha never requires risking another person’s stability.
Choose sensitivity. Choose awareness. Choose life.

At The Comfort Zone, we support wives whose lives have been impacted by a spouse’s addiction.
We offer a space to be heard, to feel understood, and to regain a sense of stability—without judgment.

Through connection and community, we help women focus on their own healing while navigating a reality they never chose.
We are here for you.
