Another epic Sunday for DDRC. First run in the 40s and the lads aren’t slowing down. Two weeks until the @nycmarathon and we added some elevation today over the Brooklyn Bridge. Great job dads!

Huge thank you to @completeplayground for the coffee, pastries and a morning we will remember for a long time. Parenting is hard but today it was so fun. Can’t wait for the next one!

Dad to dad. Building brick by brick.

Every day is a fight. A battle against who you were yesterday. A commitment to become a little better, work a little harder, and build something that lasts.

Some days you win. Some days you struggle. Some days you question whether you’re doing enough.

But you keep showing up. You keep learning. You keep building.

Not for the recognition. Not for the applause. But for them.

For the family that looks up to you. For the little eyes watching how you live. For the future you’re working so hard to create.

Fatherhood changes the meaning of ambition. It’s no longer just about what you can achieve. It’s about what you can provide, what you can teach, and the kind of man you become along the way.

One day at a time. One brick at a time. One decision at a time.

Keep building, dads. They’re watching. ❤️

Friday Dads workout ✅ This garage has changed a lot over the years.

It used to be a place where I trained to become a better football player. Everything was about ME… Emphasis on ME.

Well, over the last few years, this garage has become about US. I know that’s cheesy, but it’s true.

Now it’s a place where dads show up before the sun comes up, pushing each other to be better.

And somehow, this garage means more to me now than it ever did.

I’m still trying to get stronger. I’m still trying to push my limits. But now I’m doing it alongside men who are trying to be better husbands, better fathers, and better people.

I think that’s my favorite part about Garage Dads. We’re all at different stages of life, figuring things out as we go. None of us have it all figured out, but at least we’re doing it together.

Being an ambitious Dad takes intention.

Protect time to grow.
Pause to be present.
Notice what’s going well.
Show and tell your appreciation for those you love.

Put the phone down.
Listen to the whole story.
Say thank you and be specific.
Follow your words with action.

Small things. Every day. They add up.

Save this. Set your reminders. Follow through.

ATTACK. THE. DAY. EVERY. DAY.

Scottie and I went to our first women’s basketball game together and I think I may have created a lifelong fan.

One of my favorite parts about being a girl dad is getting to introduce my daughters to experiences like this. Scottie might not remember every detail of this night, but I will.

She got to see incredible women compete at the highest level, eat way too many snacks, explore the arena, and spend a night with dad.

Safe to say we’ll be back.

Thanks @togethxr for sending Scottie and me to our first game together 🏀❤️ - @isaacrochell

In honor of the league’s 30th anniversary, we sent some folks to their first in person game. Here’s to the next 30 years 🏀 @ballintogethxr

I’m not a fitness influencer. I’m just a dad who wants to be better, feel better, and be around for my kids for a long time.

And I’m not waiting for life to get easier before I take care of myself.

Because with 5 kids, including twins, there’s always going to be something going on.

So I’ve had to figure out how to make fitness work in the middle of the chaos.

These are a few things that have been working for me as a busy dad.

Nothing complicated. Nothing perfect.

Just finding ways to show up, even when I don’t have a lot of time.

Because sometimes taking care of yourself doesn’t mean finding more time.

It means making the time you already have count.👊🏻⚡️

I’m 31 years old and I’m not scared to admit that:

1. I know I’m a phenomenal dad, but I still struggle at being a husband. I’m learning every day how to be a better partner, and sometimes I don’t adjust fast enough.

2. Imposter syndrome is an understatement. I constantly feel like I’m not doing enough and like everything I’ve built could disappear tomorrow.

3. Some days I spend literally the entire day taking care of my kids, and by nighttime I have nothing left. I’m exhausted, impatient and sometimes not even enjoying moments I know I’ll miss.

4. Since retiring from the NFL, I’ve struggled to find my identity. I feel like I’m bouncing from thing to thing trying to figure out: Who am I now? What’s my thing?

5. Sometimes I feel like I’m living for the weekend. I’m always waiting for the next trip, dinner or event instead of finding joy in a random Tuesday.

6. I struggle to celebrate my wins. Even when something I dreamed about happens, I find myself waiting for it to fail instead of allowing myself to enjoy the success.

7. I’m more ambitious than ever, and that scares me. I want to build massive things, but I never want my wife or daughters to feel like they’re competing with my ambition.

8. I’m terrified of wasting this stage of my kids’ lives. One day they won’t need me to hold them, put them to bed or get on the floor and play.

9. I can be unbelievably grateful for my life and completely overwhelmed by it at the exact same time. Both can be true.

10. I still have no idea what I want the next 10 years to look like. For most of my life, there was a clear next step. Now there are a hundred directions I could go, and sometimes that’s more overwhelming than having none.
