Hamilton, ON-based artist Gareth Inkster pairs classical training with an indie-pop sensibility on “You Are Not Young Start Walking,” a song shaped by a late-night encounter with steam rising beneath a streetlight. Its reflective atmosphere gives way to a broader meditation on consciousness, attention, and the choices that shape our lives. He previously caught our ears with the track “Lee Shores.”

Pulsing acoustics and light percussion swell into the artist’s lush vocal presence, blissful in its tonal allure alongside descriptors like “a silent night / a blessed light.” A title-referencing vibrancy follows, exuding a layered vocal sophistication as string-laden adornments infuse seamlessly. A magnetic chamber-pop sound pairs with a dreamy folk guitar exterior, while the piano-led midpoint continues the beautifully atmospheric pull. Gorgeous vocal harmonies and serene guitar elements are a particular delight, especially as the latter grows into a twangy, heartfelt appeal in the second half. “You Are Not Young Start Walking” is a stirring success from Gareth Inkster.

Well, it’s been a week and I think we’ve finally processed how incredible it was to play a Saturday night main stage set at @supercrawl this year.
Seeing all of our friends, families, neighbours, colleagues and fellow Hamiltonians out dancing in the street as the sun went down was an experience we will NEVER forget. The energy created at these events is growing in such a positive way and we hope you can feel it as much as we do.
Thank you, thank you, thank you… from the bottom of our full hearts.
Also, we want to give a shout out to @danielrintjema for mixing the sound just perfectly for everyone’s ears, and to @jessiegolemphotography for capturing these awesome shots of the show.
See you again soon HAMILTON!!
❤️❤️❤️

Last night we celebrated the marriage of our dear friends @ethansnoook and @cecebrillon by playing a couple sets at their wedding. If you saw us play anytime between 2022 and 2024, it was Ethan’s live mix that you were listening to. He’s been such a big part of our group. He helped us record our LP and is just the best vibe to have around. It’s filled us with so much pride to see him move on to bigger and better things in the music industry, and even though we miss him dearly, we’re so happy to see him fly. It was such a beautiful day all around and it was so nice to enjoy it as both guests, and entertainment. Thanks so much to the beautiful couple for having us. It was an honour, and all around such a fun day!!
