POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Friday night, coach @jake__allred took time with our team to create a special play for Legacy. He did not have to, but she asked and he delivered.
We had an early morning game an hour away. The weather was miserable. Not only did they still let her run the play, but Coach Jake helped her run the play.

We are proud to be on the Allred’s team. They see the potential in each kid and push them to be their best. Legacy hasn’t been excluded from that. What great examples for our kids to learn from. Inclusion is a choice. THIS is what leadership looks like.

May we raise a generation that doesn’t just ask, “who’s the best player on the team?” But also asks, “who haven’t we made feel like they belong yet?” Because sometimes, the touchdown that matters most has nothing to do with football.

Tag a coach who teaches more than the game. ❤️👇🏽

This morning, the scoreboard said we lost.

19–33.

17 boys walked onto that field against 23.
They all woke up before 7am to play.
They were playing against an “A” team that was bigger, stronger, and considered the better team.

And it was a hard game.

There were hits that hurt.
There were moments that didn’t feel fair.
There were moments when you could see the boys getting tired.

But then the game ended…

…once again

They came together.

For a little girl who can’t put on a helmet.
Who can’t run onto the field.
Who doesn’t get the chance to hear a crowd cheer for her touchdown.

They came together for Legacy. ❤️

They stood beside her as her 12th Man.

And I wish I could really put into words what that means to me as her mom.

Because when you have a child who can’t always do the things other kids get to do, you quietly wonder…

Will they feel left out?
Will they feel forgotten?
Will other kids see them for who they are instead of what they can’t do?

These boys week in and week out continue to answer those questions without saying a word.

They see her.

They remind her that she belongs.

That she has a team.

That she has 17 boys who will stand beside her—even when she can’t stand beside them on the field.

And maybe that’s what football is really supposed to teach our kids.

Not just how to win.

But how to show up.
How to protect each other.
How to love your teammates.
How to make room for someone who can’t always keep up.

So yes… we lost 19–33.

But if winning means becoming the kind of human beings who make another person feel seen, valued, protected and loved…

I think we can handle the loss.

These boys don’t just play football.

They show Legacy that she has a team.

I hope she always remembers this:

She is loved.
She matters.
She has a community. 🖤🏈🥹

This kid amazes me.

People often talk about the challenges of raising a child with disabilities, but they don’t talk enough about the siblings growing up alongside them.

There’s a name for it: the glass child.

They’re called “glass” because they’re often looked through, not looked at. Their needs can unintentionally become quieter as medical appointments, therapies, and emergencies take center stage. I know this feeling well… because I was one.

That’s why we’ve always been intentional about seeing Canyon. His heart currently beats for football, so we cheer the loudest, show up the biggest, and pour into the things that make him feel known, valued, and celebrated.

Because of the severity of Legacy’s health conditions, sports aren’t an option for her.

But what gets me every single time is that Canyon never lets that stop him from including his sister.

He looks for her.
He makes room for her.
He reminds her that she belongs.

No one taught him to love like that. It’s simply who he is.

Watching him choose inclusion over attention reminds me that the greatest victories aren’t always the ones on the scoreboard.

Sometimes they’re found in the quiet moments… when a brother makes sure his sister never feels left behind. ❤️

Thousands of smiles. Thousands of moments of hope. ❤️

We are incredibly grateful to have partnered with The WON Foundation and our dear friend Chico to help provide backpacks and essential school supplies to children preparing for the new school year.

Watching families walk away knowing their children are ready for school is something we’ll never forget.

But our work isn’t finished.

There are still children in the Salt Lake City community who need essential school supplies, and together we can make sure they start the school year with confidence and dignity.

If you’d like to help, every donation makes a difference.

This is what Genshai is all about.

Never treat anyone in a manner that would make them feel small… including yourself.

❤️ Donate.
❤️ Share.
❤️ Help us reach one more child.

Life hasn’t been easy.

But every time I’ve fallen apart… he has held me.

Incredibly grateful for this man who hasn’t given up on me, even on the days that I feel really hard to love. ❤️

Charity of Champions 2026

It’s a cool experience to be surrounded by people who have achieved the dreams that your child has. Watching them light up not only from a familiar face, but also the reality that their dreams can in fact be tangible if they put the work in. Every NFL player that we connected with via @charityofchampions was incredibly kind and definitely continued to fuel the love of football. Thank you @bkaufusi90 !! We see your vision and hope to continue this journey with you.

Annual visit to @huntsmancancerinstitute up at @uofuhealth .
We are just 6 months away from starting Legacy’s annual colonoscopies and endoscopies. She will start them at 8 and depending on results will have to get them either every year or every couple of years for the rest of her life.
We are also adding a couple more doctors to her fan club. Just blessed that she is generally a happy girl and has the sweetest demeanor.
