Last night’s CEO Connect at The Karol Hotel was incredible! ✨

Senior executives from across Tampa Bay came together for an evening of connection, conversation, and inspiration.

The highlight of the night was the live interview with Gary Hartfield, Founder & CEO of Serenity Village Insurance & Consulting, led by Bridgette Bello, CEO & Publisher of Tampa Bay Business & Wealth.

Gary talked about what leadership, how to give back to your community, how to lead by your personal inspiration, and sacrifice. It really focuses the definition and responsibility how what a leader is.
Their discussion was authentic, motivating, and filled with wisdom about leadership, resilience, and community.

Huge thanks to Capital Investment Advisors, Spartan, Evara Health Foundation, and Suncoast Credit Union for presenting such a thoughtful event—and to TBBW for continuing to bring our business community together in meaningful ways.

Already looking forward to the next one!

Snapshot of the last few days:

Fundraiser hosted by Mike & Carol Cromer and Bruce & Colleen Shephard. Grateful for the Democrats, Republicans, and Independents from across professions who came together in Carrollwood to talk with me about our county’s future.

Stormwater resilience, housing, and transit were front and center in community conversations, including at Leona Huddle’s last meeting. Thank you for the invite and your desire to discuss big-picture county issues with me.

Looking forward to future collaboration with members of the Hillsborough County Emergency Medical Planning Council when I’m elected. Thank you for your service, Charlie Sand and Rich Rodriguez.

Conducted health screenings in East Tampa with EnVision Resolution, meeting many members of the community.

Prepping fundraising material. Our first big deadline is at the end of the month. Chip in today to help us build this movement.

Thursday was a full day of surgery in Brandon. Honored to serve the same community where I grew up.

That evening, I attended one of the County Commission budget hearings for our 2026 budget of more than $12 billion. I am grateful for the voices advocating for affordable housing.

Afterwards, I was glad to catch up with friends Gary Hartfield and Edward Reyes downtown.

Lectoring at St. Paul’s Catholic Church for the Novena to Our Lady of Good Health. Special prayers for refugees, immigrants, and those on the margins.

A supporter in unincorporated Hillsborough sent me a photo from the news. It was a reminder that on public health, truth must come before partisanship.

Time with my dad in Valrico. Always grateful to Benji for bringing joy.

Rowlett Park neighborhood tour with Jason Marlow. A reminder of the beauty of nature and why protecting it is essential to Hillsborough’s future.

Afternoon tea with Erin Aebel and Equality Florida. Grateful for the chance to build solidarity with friends as we fight for equal opportunity for our LGBTQ community.

📅 Join us at our campaign kickoff on 9/17 at @lara.tampa at 6pm. Let’s build a county government that is more accountable, more compassionate, and more focused on dignity for every neighbor. RSVP at link in bio.

They say true mentors are rare, but Tampa blessed me with two incredible men I proudly call brothers— @garyhartfield and @babyboyofficialig . Their leadership, wisdom, and belief in me have shaped how I approach both business and life. Gary, I’m especially grateful for your blueprint in The Journey to Success—a must-read for anyone serious about growth. Having mentors like Gary and Roberto is a reminder that success is never a solo journey—it’s built with those who guide and inspire you. 💼✨

Feeling grateful for the leadership, stewardship, and support of U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor. She has been an incredible champion for the health, safety, and prosperity of our neighborhoods here in Hillsborough County as our representative in D.C. today, and years ago when she served as one of our seven county commissioners.

I’m looking forward to working with her when I’m elected to the Hillsborough County Commission in 2026, fighting for all of us. Thank you for your endorsement, @usrepkathycastor 🇺🇸

It moves like US.
And this fall—we’re stepping into a space built specifically with YOU in mind.
