What if you got inspiration from @garykcadima and Dr Seuss at the same time? That’s this.
.
@danielsmithartistsmaterials paints AND Artify brushes were gifts from @ourgrayhouse because she’s amazing. I used a yellow, pink, and blue for this. Thanks, Lisa!

Thought i would attempt a moody watercolour sky for spooky season. Not tried a wet on wet with watercolour before but found this awesome tutorial by @garykcadima which I followed along to!

Really enjoyed it, and think I want to try out this technique again!

Unboxing video…??? I may have overdone it. Some may call me crazy for it. It felt like a life journey. I think I have definitely experienced “The Derelict” in my own way 😅.

The idea came to me the moment I saw such artwork from @garykcadima , such a wonderful, talented, kind-hearted, (insert more compliments here) watercolorist. His artwork speaks to my dark soul. I can only wish to be half as good as the thinnest, tiniest bristle hair of his 20-0 size paintbrush. It’s always a pleasure looking forward to seeing what he creates.

Looking at watercolor art through the microscope! It’s so hard to record through phone lens and control knobs at the same time; it’s kind of jumpy… 😅

Used @garykcadima tiny circular artwork as test subjects. You could almost see the ghost figures stare right back…

Anyways, I really wanted to show the pigments and fibers up close. The most I could visibly still see fibers without losing so much light was at 40X, which with added 10X eyepiece lens comes out to a total 400X magnification. It’s really cool to see the gradation of pigments too.

What's in a name? Everything. The symbol is not the thing. Yo soy Tomás. My name is Tomás. What does that mean or symbolize? The entirety of my existence, a gestalt snapshot, todo y cada cosa de quien soy... That's my name, Tomás. Me gusto. 🙏🫶🤟💜💐😊

My art wall collection complete… until next rotation. I may never leave my room now ☺️. I know, I may have a fav… but they’re all equally my favorite!

These are the artists who I have been inspired by as of late. What can I say, they each have a unique art style that my soul craves and yearns for.

@garykcadima he does not have a big head, just tiny paintings 🤣 his art is such a mood and his style brings forth my inner moody soul. 🪾🖤

@dylan_sara shapes, lines, portraits… love to watch him draw 😍 I wish I could join his mentorship! 🫶🏼

@carlevanson_art oil cityscape paintings generate a feeling of familiarity. Can’t wait for his next series of paintings. 🌇🌃

@andrewcadima the original artist whose art blew me away. His creativity is out of this world. 👽🛸 also, I thought he looked like Paul Banks.

I followed a Gary Cadima tutorial. Used a different shape paper, added some mist and a suggestion of boulders at the bottom.
