Sundays look a little different these days, and I’m loving every bit of it! 🥹❤️

Took Baby Dev for a fun little outing at Rodeo Drive, Ibn Battuta Gate, for the George the Bull premiere, and it was such a lovely experience!

From the cheerful atmosphere to all the thoughtful little touches, it was a beautiful afternoon filled with new experiences and happy moments.

Dev might still be too young to understand everything happening around him, but watching him discover new places, faces and experiences makes these little outings so special.

The team at Rodeo Drive for putting together such a thoughtful, family-friendly experience!

Here’s to more little adventures, new experiences and beautiful memories with my favourite tiny plus-one! ❤️

It started with a simple idea: bring good people into one room and let real conversations happen.

The first edition of Social Kandura Majlis brought together creators, founders, entrepreneurs and some of Dubai’s most interesting voices for an intimate evening of honest perspectives and meaningful connections.

Featuring @siiddharthvohra Programming Director at City1016, and @socialbyhalima , Founder of Knacktag Media, the conversation moved beyond titles and success stories and into the realities of media, entrepreneurship and staying authentic.

Conceptualised and brought to life by Social Kandura founders @chanchal_sakshi and @gauravprksh , this was the beginning of
a new community-led platform built around the people shaping our city.

Good people. Real conversations. Great vibes.

This was the first Social Kandura Majlis and we’re only getting started.

One whole year of you. ❤️

And somehow, it feels like just yesterday that I was waiting to meet you, counting every little milestone and praying for the day I could finally hold you in my arms.

And now… you’re ONE. 🧿

This year has gone by faster than I was ready for. From holding the tiniest version of you to watching you crawl, laugh, stand, try to walk, call for us, make a mess, make us laugh and slowly become this beautiful little person with a personality entirely your own.

You have changed my life in ways I don’t think I’ll ever be able to put into words.

There were so many emotions before you came into this world — so much waiting, worrying, hoping and praying. And then you arrived, and suddenly all of it led to you.

My Dev. My Pookoo Baba. ❤️

I wish I could slow time down just a little. Hold onto the sleepy cuddles, the tiny hands reaching for me, the way you look for me in a room, your little laughs and even all the chaos.

Because now I understand when people say time flies.

It really, really does.

Happy first birthday, my baby. You will never know how deeply you were wanted, how fiercely you are loved, and how grateful I am that I get to be your mama.

You are, without a doubt, the most beautiful chapter of my life.

For the first time, I am writing about you, my little Chhonaa Babu… ❤️

You are turning ONE tomorrow.

And this is my first post for you.

For a whole year, I couldn't find the words to write about the little boy who came into our lives and changed so much.

Maybe because your arrival was preceded by a journey that was far too painful for words.

Your Mamma—my little sister—had a pregnancy that tested her in ways I had never imagined. I watched my little girl go through pain, day after day, and there were so many moments when all I wanted was to take that pain away from her.

But I couldn't.
All I could do was watch, worry, pray and hope.
And honestly, there were times when it broke my heart.

I had always known my sister to be strong. But I had never known just how strong she could be until I watched her fight through those days.

She was hurting, she was exhausted, she was scared… and yet, she kept going.

She fought every single day to bring you into this world.

You were growing inside her while she was fighting battles none of us could fight for her. And perhaps that is why, even before I met you, I felt so deeply connected to you.

Because I knew the story of your arrival.
I knew how much your Mamma had endured to hold you in her arms.
I knew how many prayers had gone up for both of you.

And when you finally arrived, there was happiness—so much happiness—but there was also an overwhelming relief that the journey was finally over and that my little sister was safe.

And maybe that is why I couldn't embrace your arrival with the joy I had imagined. Maybe my heart was still trying to process everything we had just been through.

So I didn't write.
I didn't post.
I didn't know how to put all those emotions into words.

But today, as you turn ONE, I don't want another day to pass without saying this:
Welcome to this world, my precious Pookoo Baba. ❤️

You were loved long before I saw your little face.
You were prayed for long before I held your tiny hands.
Your Maasi may be a year late in putting it into words…
but her heart has loved you from the very beginning.

Welcome to our world, my little DEV.
I am so, so grateful you are here ♥️
