Next… Help your teenager to reconcile whatever issues that they are harboring with your partner or co-parent now… Foster emotional ownership, conflict resolution, safety of expression and the ability to reframe what they thought they knew in the heart and mind expanding truth of what they need to know and can find out with the aid of better communication skills. Let them borrow your communication skills if the need to. This will help them tremendously in the long haul. Keep in mind they have their late teens and early twenties ahead of them. Back in 1994 when I was 16, I went with a bunch of guys from school to see @biohazarddfl, was the first time I got in a mosh pit and stage dived, came home with all kinds of cuts and bruises (my poor mother) Last nite I had an AAA pass for their gig at Kentish Town and got to meet the band, even showed them my ticket stub from 31 years ago which was mind blowing Thanks @gavh22 for getting me on the guest list, honestly if you’d told the 16 year old me that the next time I’d see this band I’d be watching the gig at the side of the stage, I’d never have believed you.
