Remembering moments that made my heart sing ❤️

Photos taken by @gavin.jd at some of our favourite places around South Africa 🤩

I love how each one has its own vibe. And it's impossible to choose a favourite 🤣😅

Looking back at these fills me with a sense of wonder and deep appreciation for this life and the beautiful world we live in ❤️

A few paternal acres bound,
Content to breathe his native air,
In his own ground.

Meet Miso, a gentle and sweet girl whom we have welcomed into the Farrow menagerie ❤️

Seven months ago, we landed in this outstandingly beautiful corner of the world. Named Noordhoek after her Dutch inhabitants, she occupies gently the northern corner of the southern peninsula of the Western Cape. A mouthful to say, but she offers me a heart full of joy and peace. Her mountainside is undulating and rugged, her beach a gold and aqua swathe of welcome. And, every single day, I give thanks for the privilege of living here 🙏🏻❤️

OK so the name is achingly cool. But what I love most about this gem from the magician who is Meyer Joubert of @joubert_tradauw is that it manages to be both gloriously deep and interesting AND deeply affordable. How does he do it? All of this Barrydale cellar's offerings are utterly perfect, some on the higher end of the budget (well, well worth it) but this one is for any day without, somehow, being an everyday wine. Magician? Indisputably.
