So this year I & my sis started a thing. The Girls Hangout. What is it about?

The Girls Hangout is a monthly safe space for girls to have honest conversations, be accountable, and becoming better versions of ourselves.

Our first hangout was the Finance Edition, this 2nd edition, we talked about Confidence. How Women can be Audacious & show up boldly in our everyday lives. We challenged ourselves to do things we’ve been putting off. It was such a needed conversation (it felt like therapy).

One of the things I love about TGH is the way we hold each other Accountable. Every meeting we write goals for the next month & when we meet again, we ask ourselves how far we’ve gone in achieving them.

This 2nd edition was particularly relaxing, it felt like we were gisting, and the food, these ladies brought alot to eat & drink.

We hold our meetings every 2nd Saturday of the month. If you’ve been desiring a space like this, please come through.

Yesterday at the UKF library was all about inspiring the next generation of girls.

With support from @tech4dev amazing team and our lovely library coach Kachi, we had a special STEM advocacy session to mark International Women’s Month. It was a girls-only session where they learned what STEM means (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), why it matters, and how they can be part of the future.

We also talked about breaking the myth that tech is only for men, and introduced them to AI and its role in today’s world.

The smiles, confidence, and curiosity in the room said it all the future is truly digital, and these girls are ready 💛

In celebration of International Women’s Day 2026, we honour the incredible women of Jela’s Development Initiatives (JDI) whose dedication continues to transform lives.

This year’s theme, Give to Gain, reminds us that every act of service, advocacy, and leadership creates lasting impact. Through their commitment to mental health advocacy, voluntary blood donation, youth empowerment and access to clean water, the women of JDI continue to give their time, strength, and voices to build a more inclusive and compassionate society.

Because when women give their passion and purpose, communities gain hope, strength, and progress.
Today, we celebrate the women who lead, uplift, and inspire change every day.

Happy International Women’s Day.

Today, we celebrate a powerful network of women, all connected by one visionary decision made by Angela Omeiza, the driving force behind Jela’s Development Initiatives (JDI). She created a ripple effect of impact, bringing together incredible women who are making a difference in their own way.

This year’s IWD theme, #AccelerateAction, perfectly mirrors her journey to start JDI, through her decision lives have been transformed and opportunities have been created.
We honor every woman playing a vital role in shaping a better world.

Now, over to you
In the comment, tag a woman who has been a source of impact in your life. Tell us about her and leave her a message of appreciation. Let’s flood this space with love, gratitude, and the recognition she deserves!

@tedxsamaru Thank you for the recognition and invitation to be a @tedx_official speaker!

My talk ?
“Leveraging near death experiences to create game changing innovation”

I am grateful I had the opportunity to inspire the audience at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria that they can REinvent the way they think and act especially in the most challenging of situations because an amazing innovation could simply be round the corner to change our world !

And so from Nigeria to Africa ….Nigeria to the World ! #Jbloodmatch

Thank you @air_meka for taking the leap of faith with me to develop #jbloodmatchapp.
