We are thankful to be invited to the great UGAT production by our amazing, talented, and highly skilled filmmaker friends in the community. 🎬🔪📸

Thank you to Ka Alvin @alvinx for making the connection with one of the best filmmakers, Ka Gelli @gellipascual and her phenomenal, inspiring, and creative team. ⚔️👑✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼✊🏿🎥🎬

Also as an 'aspiring' media creator, I look forward to learning from and working with them again. 👀😎📽️

It would also great to meet Tiff, Luke, and @ryebarrez , representing the Vallejo FMA Community hard. It was dope to see their family flow together.

Special thank you and shout-out to all of my students Nur, Caesar, Johndell, Jo, who came out to support and participate in this production, elevating and uplifting our cultural and ancestral fighting arts. Thanks to Ka Shelly and Kay Jon @nanjonka, and Lydia @msellekarayan for the fabrics, and Nur for the styling 💅

Salamat po and happy Filipino American History Month! 🌊♾️⚔️🇵🇭

🌊 Meet the Artists of WAVES OF RECLAMATION! 🌊

We’re excited to introduce you to some of the artists and creatives featured in Waves of Reclamation: Gelli Pascual, Alexandria Del Rosario Duran, and Zach Angeles! ✨

Waves of Reclamation is a Filipinx group art exhibition exploring identity, memory, healing, and cultural resurgence in honor of Filipino American History Month. 🇵🇭

Through diverse artistic expressions, participating artists reflect on the journeys of reclaiming our stories, traditions, histories, and selves, honoring the tides that shape who we are and the waves that carry us toward collective liberation.

This exhibition is organized by a coalition of independent artists, creatives, and grassroots community organizers, including Shawntay Gorman, Nikki Abeleda, and Guava House.
