Small Huge things 💛

Every "small" thing matters to us.

Although, let's be honest... being included on this list is anything but small. Have you seen how many incredibly talented chefs are on it? 👀

Moments like this make me so proud of @gemmacosta.chef

Even today, I still have to remind her just how creative and talented she is.

🌱Seeing a plant-based chef recognised alongside so many amazing names is a huge milestone, not just for her, but for what we're trying to achieve.

List or no list, being on this mission together to show just how exciting, delicious, and inspiring plant-based food can be is the greatest reward.

The feature in @theheraldscotland happened almost a month ago, and life has been wonderfully busy. But I didn't want to let this moment pass without stopping to reflect, celebrate, and acknowledge how far we've come.

Here's to many more to every small step that turns into something big. 🌱✨

We just cater vegan weddings 🔥

Food is part of who I am.

I cook with my heart, and I cook to make people happy. Food is my language. As an introvert and someone who's never been the most confident socially, cooking is how I connect with people.

That's why I love catering weddings.

I love being part of such a special day and creating something memorable for the couple and their guests. Getting married is one of the biggest milestones in a person's life, and it deserves to be celebrated with incredible food, especially when it's plant-based.

There are still so many misconceptions about plant-based food, and I love challenging them. Weddings are the perfect opportunity because guests arrive expecting good food, not necessarily thinking about whether it's vegan or not.

And then the magic happens.

Guests come back to me saying it's the best wedding food they've ever had. Someone tells me they cried over my focaccia because it reminded them of the one their granny used to make. A dedicated meat-eater who "doesn't like mushrooms" comes back five times for more mushroom risotto.

Those are the moments that remind me why I do this.

That's when I know I'm exactly where I'm meant to be, doing exactly what I'm meant to do.

Even if that little voice in the back of my head is still whispering, "you are not good enough..." 😅

Plant-based weddings always going the extra mile 🌱💪

One of our biggest goals is changing people’s minds about plant-based food, and the best way to do that is by serving food that genuinely blows people away.

Yesterday, we had so many guests telling us it was some of the best food they’d ever had. One guest, who said they usually hate mushrooms, couldn’t believe how good the mushroom risotto was... they came back for it five times 😂 Mission accomplished.

As always, none of this would be possible without our amazing team 🫶

🥩We are used to serve a room full of meat eaters.

That's most of our weddings.

Usually, the only vegans in the room are the couple, and some friends, yet every guest enjoys a completely plant-based menu.

No compromises. No separate dishes. Just incredible food.

Because great food doesn't need meat. 🌱

Wedding Menu:

🧆Welcome Bite
Leek and sweet potato tartelette

🍝Starter
Stuffed tagliatelle filled with spinach and soy ricotta, served with tomato sauce and basil

and bread for the scarpetta;)

Main
🥔Roasted celeriac steak, squash purée, tenderstem broccoli and roasted baby potatoes served with red onion gravy.

In this ocassion, the groom baked the dessert 😋😋

🤯 I'm honestly still speechless after this weekend.
@themeadowsfestival

Seeing so many of you come to find @planetgfood , try our food, and share the experience with your friends was incredible.

What warmed my heart the most was seeing how genuinely excited people were to eat our food. Watching people talk about what they were going to order, bring their friends over, and celebrate (sometimes screaming!) when they finally got their hands on, it made my whole weekend.

As a chef and as an individual that's something I'll never take for granted, so thank you. 🫶

And then, as if the weekend wasn't crazy enough already, by complete chance we bumped into the Vegan MasterChef USA at the festival. Definitely not something I expected when I woke up that morning! 😂🌱

One moment really stayed with me. In the middle of the chaos, a woman came up to the counter and said:

"I'm so happy to see you're the only truck with a queue."

That hit me because, not so long ago, we were usually the only truck without one.

Being a plant-based business isn't always glamorous, but this weekend reminded me that when you focus on quality, flavour, and putting your heart into what you do, people respond to it whether they're vegan or not.

You sold us out by 3:30pm on Sunday 🤯

For a long time, I've felt like everyone else had life figured out while I was just trying to find my way. Truthfully, I still feel like that sometimes.

But weekends like this make me feel like I'm on the right path and doing something worthwhile.

To everyone who came, ordered, shared a post, told a friend, or simply stopped by to say hello: thank you ❤️

And to everyone who didn't manage to get food before we sold out, I'm so sorry. I hope to see you at @leithmarket or @stockbridgemarket soon so we can finally feed you.
