Our Southwark Foodbank Raffle 2025 is LIVE! 🍾

We are absolutely thrilled to announce to the 2025 launch of our online raffle in aid of Pecan & Southwark Foodbank, who provide essential supplies to those in crisis. Last year we raised over £1,000 so let’s beat that this year! ❤️

Lots of fantastic local businesses have got involved & donated generous prizes that YOU could win at only £1 a ticket 🎟

There's absolutely no limit on how many tickets you buy and every penny goes straight to this wonderful local charity. This year, Pecan are taking part in the ‘Big Give’ initiative in December, which means any funds we donate from the rafflewill be DOUBLED by fund matching! 💰

The draw takes place after closing at midnight on Saturday 29th November & you must be over 18 to enter. Winners are drawn through a random number generator 🎁

Part of the reason we started Slop was to tell people about the delis, bakeries, greengrocers, wine shops and food shops that we love. Now, with the first issue out in the world, we’re honoured to be stocked in some of those very shops.

To begin Issue 01, we highlighted some of our favourite food stores from across London, starting with Peckham’s very own @general_store

- General Store -
A trailblazer in London’s deli scene, General Store is much imitated but never bettered. Tucked away on Peckham’s Bellenden Road, it’s a lesson in careful sourcing and sky high standards. This is not a shop for fad products or novelty goods but one where Sicilian tomatoes lounge easily next to Mons cheese and artisanal American peanut butter. Absolutely passionate about food, General Store’s founders Genevieve and Merlin remain the engines powering one of the best selections of products you’ll find in London.
