Hey Recording Academy family! 🎶🏆

I’m honored to share Tortilla Factory – 50th Anniversary, officially entered for GRAMMY® consideration in Best Música Mexicana Album (Including Tejano).

❤️ THIS ALBUM IS FOR MY THREE BABIES IN HEAVEN.

I dedicated this album to my beautiful daughter, granddaughter, and niece, whom I tragically lost in an automobile accident.

After losing my three babies, I completely gave up on music. But through my faith in God, I believe He brought me back to music to heal me.

Every note of this album carries their love, their memory, and my determination to honor them. We’re pursuing this GRAMMY® in their honor. This one is for my babies in heaven. ❤️🙏

50 YEARS OF MUSICAL LEGACY

Our three-time GRAMMY®-nominated Tortilla Factory celebrates over five decades of Chicano horn-driven soul, continuing the extraordinary legacy established by my father, Tony “Ham” Guerrero.

This anniversary album blends funk, jazz, Latin, rock, pop, and classical influences with our unmistakable signature horn-driven sound.

SPECIAL RECOGNITION — HASKEL JACKSON JR.

I’m especially proud to recognize my dear friend and collaborator, seven-time GRAMMY®-nominated and three-time Billboard No. 1 producer Haskel Jackson Jr.

Haskel has been an integral part of this album. Beyond his extraordinary musical accomplishments, his dedication to helping underserved youth through music education and Music For Your Mental Health reflects the heart and compassion of an incredible human being.

🚨 STORYTIME: A MOMENT IN CHICAGO THAT REMINDED US WHY PREPARATION MATTERS.

What started as an experience at the Harmony in Practice Conference turned into a real-life emergency. ❤️‍🩹 After the conference, Jay and Haskel encountered a woman who had passed out and needed Narcan. Thankfully, they had some available.

This moment was a powerful reminder that mental health, wellness, and harm reduction go hand in hand. You never know when the knowledge you carry or the resources you have access to could help save a life.

🎥 Thank you @backline.care for giving us this lifesaving resource!

Knowledge saves lives. Preparation matters. And showing up for one another can make all the difference. ❤️

🎶✨ HARMONY IN PRACTICE: WHERE MUSIC MEETS MENTAL WELLNESS. 💚🧠

We had the pleasure of experiencing to Chicago for the Harmony in Practice Convention, created by Backline Care @backline.care , an organization dedicated to providing mental health and wellness resources to music industry professionals and their families! 🎤🤝

What a beautiful experience to be surrounded by clinicians and wellness professionals who are passionate about creating space for open dialogue, breaking stigmas, and prioritizing mental health within the music industry. ❤️‍🩹

At Music For Your Mental Health, we believe that behind every song, every performance, and every creative vision is a human being who deserves support, care, and access to the resources they need to thrive.

Experiences like these remind us why our work matters. We’re grateful for the meaningful conversations, new connections, and shared commitment to building a healthier, more supported music community. 🎶✨

Because caring for the people behind the music is just as important as the music itself. 💚

🤎 IT TAKES A VILLAGE. AND YOUR VILLAGE MATTERS. 🫂✨

There is something so powerful about having people in your corner who don’t switch up when life gets hard. The friends you can lean on when the weight feels heavy, call when you need support, trust with your vulnerability, and feel safe knowing your heart is in good hands. ❤️‍🩹

A real village isn’t just about who celebrates your highs; it’s about who holds space for you in your lows. The people who show up, check in, listen without judgment, and remind you that you don’t have to navigate life alone.

Community is more than connection. It’s safety. It’s consistency. It’s knowing you are loved, supported, and seen.

At Music For Your Mental Health, we believe that having a strong support system can make a meaningful difference in our mental and emotional well-being. Never underestimate the power of a genuine friend, a safe space, or someone who reminds you that you matter. 🫶🏽🎶

Check on your people. Be intentional with your friendships. Nurture the relationships that nurture you. And remember, you deserve a village that pours into you just as much as you pour into them. 🌱

Tag someone who makes you feel safe, supported, and loved. Let them know they’re part of your village. 🤎

💚 TODAY IS MENTAL ILLNESS AWARENESS DAY! 🧠✨

A reminder that mental health matters — not just this month, but every single day. 💚

We had an INCREDIBLE time as vendors at Wellness at the Bay!🌊☀️ From making new connections and meeting genuine people to sharing laughs and meaningful conversations, we were reminded of the power of community, connection, and creating spaces where everyone feels seen and supported.

We believe that mental wellness deserves to be prioritized, conversations deserve to be had, and no one should ever feel alone in their journey. Whether it’s through music, movement, mindfulness, or simply checking in on someone you love — every little act of care matters. 🎶🫶🏽

This #MentalIllnessAwarenessDat, let’s continue to break the stigma, lead with compassion, and remind one another that YOU MATTER. YOUR MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS. AND YOU DESERVE SUPPORT. 💚

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, connected with us, shared a laugh, or simply showed up as themselves. We’re grateful to be part of a community that understands that wellness is something we build together. 🌱

✨ Check in on yourself. Check in on your people. Keep the conversation going.

If your mind has been racing lately… pause. 🫂

If you feel like you don’t have anyone to lean on, if your emotions feel bigger than you can carry, or if you’re struggling to see beyond what you’re going through right now, please remember: this moment is not your whole story.

You don’t have to have everything figured out tonight. Take it one breath, one moment, one day at a time. Come back to the present. 🤍

And if you feel like you have no one to turn to, God is still with you. You are seen. You are loved. Your life has meaning, even when your mind is telling you otherwise.

Keep going. There is still more life waiting for you. 🕊️

September is Suicide Prevention Month. Check on your people. Be gentle with yourself. And if you’re struggling, please reach out—you don’t have to carry it alone.

“There is no tomorrow.” 🥊❤️

Sometimes, when you’re in the middle of pain, grief, or a season you don’t know how to navigate, you need a friend to remind you to keep going.

Jay & Haskel reflect on Rocky and the power of having people in your corner — the ones who show up, speak life into you, and remind you that you don’t have to face today alone.

Tomorrow isn’t promised. So show up for yourself today.
Feel the pain. Process the grief. Ask for help. Keep fighting.

Don’t give up. Your story is still being written. 🫂❤️
