Thrilled to be previewing sketches, songs and improvisations as a part of Melbourne International Jazz from our forthcoming record with the full band Genevieve Fry (Harp, Recorder, Vocals) Grace Ferguson ( Synthesiser) Travis John (Guitar) Georgia Harvey (vocals, Bass Guitar) & Esala Liyanage ( Drum set, Sampler) Lov to see your faces xo This performance is a relaxed durational performance of three hours // FREE EVENT // Saturday 24th October Venue: Crown Street Stables at 40 Crown Street, Flemington, Melbourne Victoria, Australia Lineup: Cold Hands Warm Heart, alongside the Slow Poke jazz guitar trio, the Emma Gilmartin vocal quartet, and a guided Sound Walk led by Anthony Magen. Cold Hands Warm Heart 1:00PM โ€“ 4:00PM Bark. Branches. Stones. Clay. Cold Hands Warm Heart is made up of four musicians who pay homage to the natural world through immersive and experimental soundscapes. Inspired by the textures, rhythms and quiet transformations of the environment, from a fallen tree teeming with life to the swell of a river after rain, their music invites audiences into a deeply attentive listening experience. Meditative, evocative and richly atmospheric, their performances draw attention to deep time, encouraging a renewed connection with the landscapes that surround us. >>> This event will be held on the stolen lands of theย Wurundjeri Peopleย of theย Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to Elders past present and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded.ย ALWAYS WAS, ALWAYS WILL BEย <<<
