@geniettta has been at BioClub throughout September and October as part of the Tokyo Art and Science Residency, which we host every winter in partnership with @bioartsociety and @finstitutejapan Genietta’s project, S(w)ea(t), is a sculptural ritual that researches the connection between the body and the territory through salt. Here in our lab, she’s been gathering salt from two sources at once: human sweat and the Pacific Ocean. The work follows an investigation into sweat and salt harvesting that she began in 2023, and treats the transition from fluid to crystal as a material history of the land. Come see the work in progress and meet Genietta!

Vol. 1: Roma Issue. Vol. 2: Somali Issue. @few_magazine - Fair Enough Art Book Fair was initiated in Tallinn by graphic designers Agnes Isabelle Veevo (EE) and Linnea Lindgren (FI) in 2024 to highlight small-scale publishing, particularly in Estonia, where platforms for distributing independent and art publications are limited. (EN) At mueve (galería ), every exhibition comes with its own publication. It’s not a catalogue, but a way to document, reflect, and share the process behind each show. We believe in the importance of building an archive and making our work visible beyond the exhibition itself. Each project involves time, research, and dialogue — these publications help give that work continuity and presence.

🎟️ Ingreso libre

Restless 11.4 – 4.5.2025 Restless explores the disruptive nature of non-normative identity in a shared context. The exhibition looks to map the friction between body and environment, and the restlessness caused by the slipping in and out of fixed categories and conceptions. Restlessness is defined as an initiator of disruption resulting from the collective and individual felt experience of this sensation. The exhibition comprises individuals from a broad range of geographies and artistic practices who have found themselves living and working in Helsinki. Their perspectives include explorations of queerness, disability, and racialization. In Restless, they examine different ways their bodies and identities have reacted to this new place and, in turn, the way the environment responds to their presence.
